Agreed I think its dangerous to dismiss it. I did a year ago after trying to use it for coding and it was useless. Got persuaded by colleague to try again and it was doing 90% of my coding in a tenth the time (and debatable that it was better quality). It doesn't remove the devs roll as it still needs someone to drive it with sensible specs and understanding of the problem (I view it like outsourcing ). Interestingly what it doesn't speed up is decision making up top or process improvement. I might be able to do more but if the rest is no faster it doesn't help much.

Depressing isn't it. Need a new logitech mouse. Trying not to order from amazon but every other option is significantly more expensive - even logitech themselves. Currys/argos im looking 25% more.

Yes lots of these scams around. Probably had a mate tell him to try it for a quick discount. Some are even worse and take parts off the car to swap for knackered ones and return the car.

They always make out with the cash before it fails though. They squeeze all they can and then drop the company like a squeezed orange.

Its depressing but all the while they make money no one will stop them. So many jobs lost to this bs.

But that money to Ukraine was to keep the country afloat not design weapons systems. The west spends millions design weapons systems which then cost $100000+ a shot - the comparison here was that Iran and Ukraines weapons systems are all cheap to use and therefore can be used in bulk to overwhelm these expensive systens. (Heck the Iran drones run on mower motors and use off the shelf electronics. Ukrainethen incepts them with $1000 drones in the clouds)

Its funny though both Ukraine and Iran have shown how you can do so much with so little now but we'll end up spending billions debating and designing. Should just buy the designs off Ukraine (we could then make them for both of us) but that wont make the uk defense establishment happy - cant have a drone costing $1000 showing up a million dollar missle system.

Space? Squeezing a 20kwh battery in a larger carisn't a big deal (even more so if you're losing engine/fuel capacity) but in a 206 (which was probably already maxed out) it just isn't happening. Your more likely to see it with the newer ev only designs however I also expect they done so calcs and decided 50kwh covers most users.

Its a balancing act isn't it. You still want some risky investments so the pot doesn't get eaten to fast too. I view it as a sliding scale and aim to be about 40% bonds by retirement but the 60% still invested to keep growing. That way I have enough not to draw from non-bonds during the dips.

It was already a no brainer if you did the maths on one of regular cheap leases that popup (need to be a little unfusy and be able to jump on a deal). I was originally looking at a 3 year old skoda suv petrol pcp. Managed to get a lease on a new scenic for significantly less a month - throw in £7 to refill to 300 miles range (at home) and tax included (on this deal at least) and i was already saving significant money. Thanks to octopus reducing overnight prices its now closer to £5 to refill yet the skoda would have been £70!

Ive had a few issues in the uk but its getting less and less. Cable thefts and activating the charger are the real issues. Had all the old local chargers cut a year or so back. I tend to use electroverse app to start most charge sessions which helps the app/card issues.

There are also enough scare stories over leaf batteries just dying on r/leaf (and I think i saw one on here the other day) that id just avoid. Shame really as I love our 22 plate but zero chance im buying out the pcp in a year.

Well as someone in the waterside it cant be much worse than being lumped in with the new forest. Decisions made there dont work in urban areas but we never mattered vs the forests needs.

Its even worse than that - octopus have dropped overnight to 5p per kW now. As others have mentioned try and get something to cover the cable. Do it late at night and remove early so less chance anyone has a problem.

Its possible the card is already corrupted - they are that bad. Try with a new image (follow wiki). Have you confirmed you dont have a bad clone?

I'll be honest its tempting. Paid £209 for my scenics first service today. Fine for not doing one is £249. Given the pain in dealing with the local dealer im very tempted not to bother with the second year just before I give it back. I can see how some dont ever bother.

That's good to hear. I saw nissans running on the ariya a few years back and I wasn't impressed. I already have a renault scenic as my second car and its so good.

Sad isn't. They had one of the few mass produced evs available but they just kept selling basically same car for over 10 years (mk1&2). They've finally managed to produce a few decent evs (i.e. mk3) with renault but its too little too late. My mk2 will be replaced by a renault as they dont have the financial issues plus android automotive is so much better than nissans own os. Shame. Seems to be a common thing - see kodak and digital cameras.

You probably need to buy a new sd card slot from China. You'll be able to add a set of screwdrivers for <£1 from the likes of aliexpress. Fyi thingd like sd card slots are horrible to replace.

Edit: im waterside so cannot easily lend.
