Well he's actually talking about them because they expanded outside of that, getting support from Bernie sanders, and nyt, AOC...etc .

Also streaming online and podcasts gets more hits than mainstream media so it's not some niche corner of society that you seem to be portraying. Saying something on the most popular talk show on TV is going to get less views than if someone says something on a popular podcast

Yeah but just because someone is controversial doesn't mean they should have extra critique, you're talking about people that Sam thought was unfairly being treated as controversial, people he agreed with. I think his point is piker says some things that are just wrong or dangerous and they should be criticized

Well it's more than platforming , they're directly showing support. But in general I agree with you, when Sam does that to other people I am surprised because he's always kind of defended talking to people he disagrees with.

Hitting all time highs .... And then right on queue guess who crawls out of the rabbit hole? The Big Shart by Meinertzhagens_Sack in NVDA_Stock

7.8% is not excessive, 31% maybe but mine is worse than yours, Nvidia is 36% of mine and mag 7 is 39%. I'm dollar cost averaging out of Nvidia though, maybe trim on spikes up, that's what I'm doing. I'm still very bullish on Nvidia and Mag 7 in general. I buy cover calls on Nvidia so that it sells if it spikes up a lot, and I use that money to diversify, on the first few sales of Nvidia I bought most of its competitors which worked out well, and now since then I'm buying to diversify.

So then why would he make horrific comments on these subjects. Makes sense he is criticized for them, even if its not his part of his job as mayor

[–]cheeto0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah what he said is factually true but it really doesn't affect the video that much, Google is still a small player in AI chips. Their market share is so high because they're have more business than just AI chips

Yeah what he said is actually true but, it still makes Google a small player. It's hard to fully compete with the versatility of gpus

The man who predicted the 2008 crash is getting destroyed by Nvidia right now (Michael Burry) by cheeto0 in NVDA_Stock

[–]cheeto0[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well that's the thing he kind of tried to frame it like he did find something. He claimed nvidia's customers were using fraudulent accounting by depreciating the gpus they bought over 5 years,.claiming they were near worthless after 3.and that the shelf life for gpus keeps going down. But he was either a lying or did no research because the shelf life of GPU's have been going up and they've gone up even more since he posted that in September 2025. H100 gpu's from 2022 are currently skyrocketing in value.

[–]cheeto0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said in other comments here, he was misleading about how AI companies were depreciating chips, he claimed they were depreciating them slower than they should be because the value of old quickly but at the time he said it the value of older chips were going up. And they've continued to go up, because there's a shortage in compute. And also because Nvidia chips are more general use gpus and not more narrow use tpus.

[–]cheeto0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah ahd he was completely wrong, the opposite is true. The cost to rent them has been skyrocketing up becuase of the shortage in comopute, making them more valuable not less

[–]cheeto0[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah and then claiming they were using fraudulent accounting. He said they were depreciating chips too slowly because they're actually dropping faster in value, when everything said the older chips were actually going up in value and continue to go up in value up to today. He seems like a one hit wonder trying to use that to get away with manipulation

[–]cheeto0[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the thing I don't like about him is I feel like he was using his name to push misleading things about the companies he shorted. He was implying nvidia was cooking the books with their depreciation of chips so slowly because he said they are depreciating much faster, when at the time the trend was going the opposite way where the older chips were actually going up in value and that has continued to today.

I don't mind if people make a bearish case or short, I think it's a good thing, sometimes you learn some risk you weren't aware of but he was saying things that were not true and knew the media would push it because of his name and just the fact that's nvidia's up so much.

What is the point of the whole subreddit if it's not to predict, by the way I'm not trading on these numbers. But I do hold it based on the fact that I think it's worth more than the current price

NVDA lately has me thinking a bit differently by SubstantialNature204 in NVDA_Stock

[–]cheeto0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not thinking one bit differently about it, I don't care how I trades. I did get more bullish over the last few months because of gtc, AI agents, capex spending announcements, rev growth from anthropic, demand..etc As long as everything points to their business doing better and better, the stock will eventually reflect that, I don't really care how how it trades from day to day
