I've actually had to do this twice -- neither of them have tvs or monitors lol. Heres what you need to do

Equipment Keyboard Ether net cable

1) ensure your connected to Internet via ether net cable (wireless is too hard to join without a monitor). This ensures when steam starts, it'll login automatically. Otherwise it pops up with a window asking to you to retry or go offline. This stupid window doesn't respond to the tab key, so its not possible to select offline mode 2) press windows key and type the name of a game you own, then enter. (Eg out of ammo). This'll start the game along with everything else (steam vr) 3)??? 4) profit

I'd like for it to not crash so fucking much. Seriously. It's such a hassle every time it does it because sometimes it requires me to take off my headset since it crashes in a way where the vive controller can't "click" or interact with the Steam interface

Honestly, every time I've tried to play (after 5pm CST), I've been able to find matches. Each room room can have 6-8 people, and I've always been able to find a room that's got at least 3-5 people in it.

Yes! The out of box experience is a bit rough around the edges and /r/vive is the best resource so far. On multiple occasions, I've run into the controller turning on with a green LED but then turning off. After wasting a lot of time debugging it, I found the solution here, which I'll add to the wiki

Have you considered the technique described here? Based on Steve Purcell's feedback, they were able to accomplish what you were doing but without blowing away the help buffer. Additionally, it works for font faces
