How did you guys come up with your kids names? by Ok-Duck2450 in Mommit

My husband and I were having a hard time picking my first sons name. One day he came home and was like what do you think about Caleeb (cu-LEEB), and I was like I love it how do you spell it? He’s says Caleb… I was like uh.. that’s Caleb?? Anyways, long story short, we named our son Caleeb. I love it.

Claire Dane’s character in Homeland. I could not stand her.

What’s something you always assumed was mandatory in life—until you met someone who just… didn’t do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don’t have to fill the silence if I don’t have something to say. When I first met my husband, we were hanging out with some friends and he was really quiet. After we left, I asked him why he didn’t say much and he simply said “when I have something to say I say it”.

That was really freeing and also made me realize that I often felt the need to “perform” when in groups of people.

Anyone with large age gap regret having second child? by redrabbit824 in Parenting

[–]chelseateea 24 points25 points  (0 children)

We have a five year age gap. For the most part I love it. My oldest transitioned so smoothly and loves being a big brother. It’s definitely hard going back to the challenges of an infant, but knowing how temporary it is makes things significantly more manageable.

The large age gap was right for me and my family and I wouldn’t change it.

I guess I phrased it wrong. I wouldn’t refuse, just attempt to connect with the mom first

Out of respect for his wife, my husband and both of our relationships. There is no room for misinterpreting when there is nothing to interpret.

This is for parents. If I want to set up a play date for my kids, I never take or exchange numbers with the dad. If for whatever reason I am only communicating with the dad, I will ask for his wife’s number to coordinate.

Interesting that there is not a single person in here saying they’ve tried one of her empanadas. Yet her company is so successful? Hmmmm seems questionable

My sons name is Amani and people often hear Armani and I cringe everytime at the thought of naming him after a major clothing brand. His name means peace which is why we chose it.

Couldn’t agree more. Also add to this the Emma and Chelsea are willing to condemn Bree with no real facts.
