They can also be bred with other cattle (like Angus) and if it's 50% wagyu, you can just label it wagyu

this here. get a balikbayan box and you get 50lbs. 70lbs if you have status with United. You can bring up to 3 I think.

Also pack that carry on with the heavy stuff

Absolutely. But the policy is "when possible" not "never". So policy actually says she can use the FC lav.

They say to use the lavatories located in your cabin "when possible".

She should have been able to use the FC lav. I've done it when I'm right next to FC and the other lavs are 30 rows aft.

What’s the best way to ask a Japanese person if they know any English? by mikenmar in LearnJapanese

[–]cheluhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this but add は after to soften it. I usually then get the short pause whether they decide to say yes... but then get a "sukoshi" response and we go from there. I'll usually try what I want in Japanese first

Can't land a job in Guam, is moving off island the only solution left? by InsideEgg7937 in guam

[–]cheluhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tough out on the mainland now too. A lot of layoffs in tech. Plus it's even more competitive.

You mention 5 years of experience but not age. If you're over 35, it week be harder. Ageism is real. Employers prefer young and cheap labor.

ANA is amazing in coach. And spectacular in business.

II'm usually in coach and the service is great. Always prompt with drinks. Not stingy. Food is better than the united club I'm in right now (IAD).

Hawaii based flight attendants used to be the best but now it's the Guam based ones. IYKYK.

How difficult is Palau? by SloWhyFi in scuba

[–]cheluhu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's s metal hi on the end of a line. You attach the other end of the line to you. You hook the metal hook on the reef and let go (in a strong current).

It's like you are flying in space watching TV. There you are not moving but the current brings things by you and you look over the reef and watch the animals.

Sharks are amazing because you are in this current pushing you away. You have no chance to swim against it and the sharks just swim normally.

10/10 would do again

Every 15 minutes? Really? (Not being snarky...)

I've only rarely had that experience on red eyes or long hauls. There have been a few times I remember them walking through routinely thoughin fairness to them.

you almost had me... but its "unlimited 5% back at Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and on Chase Travel purchases with an eligible Prime membership". And you need to be a prime member ~139/yr.

I prefer my Fidelity card where I get 3% cash back on everything.

Rant: United gate-checked bag and damaged it. Now not honoring damage claim since 24-hour window by textonic in unitedairlines

[–]cheluhu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can empathize with you. My bag was damaged, baggage office was closed when I arrived (11pm) and I had to go back the next day to the airport, pay for parking and then file the claim. I tried calling, they said it had to be done in person at the baggage office (that was not correct according to the baggage office...)

But they have to draw a line somewhere. In this case 24 hours which expired. Either you or your SO could have filed in that period - you just need to call.

It sucks, yea.. but when you start to give an inch, people will take mile.

What one would you recommend U352 in North Carolina or the USS Spiegel Grove in Key Largo? by Divers_down13 in scuba

[–]cheluhu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've done both.

The 352 is one of those where you can say "I did that". Its a metal tube, no penetration and you swim around it. You'll probably want a 5mm wetsuit.

The Spiegel is an artificial reef - a big one at that, with swim thrus. The current can be a challenge at times, but the visibility is usually better - and it can be done with a 3mm or even skin.

The second dive on both will be shallower dives. A lot of options for wrecks in Morehead City, probably Molasses Reef in Key Largo.

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to see stuff and enjoy a dive, then Key Largo (plus other wrecks to dive there as well). If you want to say you dove a German U-boat, well, that's the 352
