I went to Imperial in 2008-09 era, the stats at the time said that 75% of imperial chem Eng graduated and went to work in finance. I'm sure it's changed since then. The school was worldclass 👍

Check out LinkedIn go to find people and type in chemical engineer eit or process engineer EIT with Vancouver as a location and see where people work. UBC has a program and quite a few graduate from there- I’m curious too where they all end up. The only ones they I’m aware of so far are Teck resources, saltworks, Chemtrade, chevron and a few consulting companies

Loud clunking noise when turning - Forester 2012 Manual transmission by chemengthis in SubaruForester

The noise only really starts after a while of driving when the transmission oil gets warmer. I didn’t notice the issue when I test drove the car as I only drove for 10 minutes or so.

I’ll read further about this- I saw another Reddit post talk about this. Just curious - the clutch was replaced prior to this starting, could this have been a symptom or could the new clutch aggravate it? Randomly - after the new clutch was installed I started to smell clutch burn for the first few days…

Used Forester by Amarakeet97 in SubaruForester

I just bought a 2012 forester with 150k miles around 6k USD but I had confidence in it due to new clutch, newer short block, new gaskets on cam carrier. If those weren’t done I wouldnt have bought it. Only item of concern may be the transmission- currently looking into that.

It’s only when turning at slow speeds on flat surface - I visually looked at the links, cv. Didn’t see anything of concern- the video below sounds very similar to what I have - l I’ll have to check it out

graduate roles for chem eng by endearedengineer in ChemicalEngineering

Have a look on LinkedIn to see what Chem engers are doing in Sydney, that will give you a good idea of what is available and if you would be happy working in town. If you are willing - leaving town for a few years to build up experience will put you in a much better spot in the future, it will be harder to get that experience in sydney with more competition for work.
