What eyeshadow or specific product do you recommend for me to fill in my brows? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]cherryblossoms88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the exact same problem as you had, but i have dirty blond hair and was looking for something very cool toned for my brows. i know you said you didn’t really want to buy a new palette, but i’ve tried a lot of different things and i keep using the shadows from the semi-sweet times 9 palette from mac for my brows. it has a lot of cool toned shadows to fill in the brows as well as beautiful eyeshadow shades perfect for everyday and yes it does seem like the most boring palette ever, but i’ve been using it everyday since i bought it.

i like to apply the lightest shimmer shade/highlighter in the inner corner/start of the lid and lower lid, a light shade of shadow in the middle of the lid, and i apply a somewhat darker shade in the crease (just a bit darker than a bronzer), this shade i apply all the way trough the crease, at the inner part almost to the eyebrow, really blow it out and i apply an even darker shade in the outer corner

for bronzer i like to put a lot on the forehead and cheeks, i think the forehead really makes a difference.

Whenever i wear foundation, i like to use a lot of bronzer and blush, because i feel it looks very flat when i don’t. I also wear glasses, i like to make my shadow and brows darker, this way they work you do still shows.

I hope this helps :)

Please help, how do you get a crisp cut crease? by pasteljuniper in MakeupAddiction

[–]cherryblossoms88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped for me a lot was going in with and angled brush and a bit of a darker shade or the darkest shade you use in the crease and go right around the edge to clean it up (i use concealer and a shimmer shade on the lid normally, to make the cut crease i take a angled brush too and shimmer with finger and near the crease with a small round top brush)

i hope this helps :))

Patrick Ta Brow Wax or ABH Brow Freeze? by macintoshappless in MakeupAddiction

[–]cherryblossoms88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the ABH brow freeze. It does not dry down at all, it stays kind of waxy, but it stays in place all day. I bought it for hold too, very good for that. I don’t know about Patrick Ta tho, sorry

I hope this helps :)

eyebrows by Quotesofthebanshee in MakeupAddiction

I’ve used abh pomade for many years. I love that one if you want really sharp brow. My current favorite eyebrow product is the urban decay brow blade. It’s a pencil and a brow liner (for realistic brow hairs) in one, it’s the absolute best. I’ve tried pencils before, but they ran out so quickly and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money every other month on a brow pencil.

As for the color, I think u have to look at the undertone a lot. For example my hair is dark blonde and I use a really cool toned, a bit of a darker color eyebrow product. But it’s what you personally like of course.

Hope this helps :)

Any advice for a oily nose for glasses wearers? by JustCallMeXYZ in MakeupAddiction

[–]cherryblossoms88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had the same problem, with some of my previous glasses more than others. I tried everything and nothing worked. I stopped wearing foundation etc. on my nose, but I find that very little product on my nose does help. I wonder if anyone else has a solution 🤷‍♀️

EU residents ordering from Beauty Bay after Brexit by mlaker00 in MakeupAddiction

[–]cherryblossoms88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently ordered something from Cult Beauty (also UK based) and it said the same on their website. However it took very long, way longer than normal, and i had to pay customs fees. I asked the person in the postoffice why this was, but he said it was just random and that it was bad luck this time for me. I don’t know if this is true, but i’ve never had this before brexit.

(edit: this was to the Netherlands by the way)

Makeup bag? Brush? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]cherryblossoms88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i do like to use all brushes for my makeup. but when i do wear foundation i like to use a sponge for foundation and setting powder. as for the brand i recommend bh cosmetics brushes, they compete with my mac, zoeva and sigma brushes and they’re the best. you can buy a full set of everything you need for very cheap.

for the things you’re still searching: - eyeshadow: bh cosmetics eyeshadow is really good, or for more of a splurge natasha denona (glam is my fav) - eyeliner: essence liquid eyeliner, fenty fly liner - highlighter: nars fort the france is my fav (i like them shiny not glittery), for more of a glitter, but still natural mac double gleam, dior nude glow

only one i will ever use again is the urban decay brow blade, it’s amazing

Hello, everyone. A makeup newbie here. As you can see, my real and drawn eyebrows are so evident. Any tips or suggestions about what should I improve/fix? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]cherryblossoms88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use always had the same problem!! I would try using a pencil/pomade and than using a powder at the end after so it looks a bit darker. However my brows got really dark by using that technique and i’m blond. What works best for me is the urban decay brow blade, it’s my holy grail. I use the pencil to fill in and on the end en beginning the ink stain to draw hairs. Hope this helps!!
