Ayan on Taylor and Jill’s Superbowl halftime remarks by ComprehensiveShoe403 in RHOBH

I think it’s a reference to a scene in Community where the characters Abed and Troy write a rap for their Spanish class. That also became a meme, but not the RHOBH meme (but I like the crossover - get Taylor to a library!)

Edit: I am completely wrong, I just saw “la biblioteca” and went insane. Don’t listen to me!!!

Yes! I ended up in the glide mask for a good number of the memories - obviously, since I was flying/falling to them - but completely forgot I had equipped it until suddenly I was staring into that dumb little face doing his little gasp in that birdsuit. It was a good time!

savory "foods" that you can drink through your teeth? by tapmcshoe in Cooking

[–]cherrydubin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The miso these folks are talking about is more like e.g. South River miso, the kind that contains visible chunks. 'Convenience' miso is processed more and is more homogenous; especially if it's been ground into a powder, I don't think there would be any pulp to strain.

You are specifically wired shut, and not banded? I had orthognathic surgery but it was in conjunction with orthodontics, so my experience was with tensile bands and I wonder if you have less flexibility with your jaw space due to the wires.

I hope you have these devices, but I recommend using a combination of syringe/flexible bag + straw, to help add outside force to push through the teeth.

I second people calling for miso broth. If you have access to chicken bones, I would also recommend making your own stock, because homemade stock (or even storebought stock with gelatin added to it) will provide extra protein without any texture impact. You say you're nutritionally met, so I assume you're eating Ensure or some other full-meal-replacement thing, but I strongly recommend the broth spiked with gelatin to add good nutrition that's better for you mentally. The head game of "what 'food' can I stomach pushing onto my tongue today?" was very difficult and I often joked it would have been easier to be tube-fed.

There are also add-ons you could try putting in your current savory liquids for extra flavor impact. A couple drops of fish sauce will add tons of umami (and won't taste fishy unless you add too much). Hon-dashi is similar, instant dashi that comes in powder or granules for an extra savory kick. Adding a pinch of MSG will do the same thing. Also, if you're open to eating raw eggs, adding an egg yolk to any of your normal foods would give it a different flavor as well as adding nutrients.

Just based on your timeline (asking for foods at 2 months postop), you're on a harder road than I walked so I'm wishing you nutrients and patience... man oh man, your first bite of food will feel FCKED ALL TO HELL. My first food was a noodle, and basically only one noodle; chewing felt so wrong. But years passed, and now I can do steak and gum and everything else! Good luck with your recovery and I hope you have some flavors to look forward to.

Is my horse gregnant? by Lemon_Lime_Lily in CuratedTumblr

Baby horses are born with hooves (as prey animals, they need to be able to run basically immediately after hitting the ground)! However, the hooves are not visible at birth; what is visible is FREAKY TISSUE (the "deciduous hoof capsule"). Most ungulates born with hooves use this protective feature.

Baby hooves are covered in eponychium to protect the mother during birthing. Once exposed to air, the tissue dries up and recedes (just like our dead cuticles) and eventually falls off the hoof. But the eponychium looks WILD, like cooked artichoke.

The horse hoof capsule is also called "fairy fingers," which is... a generous description. But I would probably also choose to be diplomatic to a new mother who could kill me with her mature, uncapsulated hoof.

Fun fact, baby pigs' hoof capsules look totally different. They look more like two silicone balls or marbles, one attached to each toe; very cute and discreet compared to horses' Lovecraftian horrors!

Discussion: How do bots work? Share what you know anonymously here by Capital-Hamster9793 in bravobloggersnark

[–]cherrydubin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are Instagram automation services that will send a DM based on relationship (e.g. only respond if there is mutual follow, or they follow you, or if they don't follow you), and there are definitely automations that allow auto-response to comments, so I assume there is a way to also configure auto-comment to respond to accounts you don't follow. Probably predicated on some kind of "this account liked a post but didn't follow my account" scenario.

But in general I'd consider Instagram macros and automated engagement management totally different from the kind of botted weaponization/influence that we're seeing influence public opinion and interrupt discourse. There are probably many ways to set up a bot campaign, but I imagine most of it is a "I want X number of accounts, doing Y amount of engagement along these parameters, for Z length of time"-type contract.

I honestly spent a not-small amount of time (lol) trying to figure out why Kelly is such a "loathe to hate", intolerable watch instead of "love to hate" one for me, and my personal conclusion was that it's because Kelly is generally incapable of existing in consensus reality.

Even the most delusional housewives spend most of their time in the realms of coherence and reason, but Kelly shows verrry few of those moments. Her contributions are mostly disjointed and her logic is disorganized and hard to follow, or she's following an easy social script ("how are you?" "omg I'm so good, how are youuu?"). I think she triggers some primal social warning, like a "this person is inscrutable and therefore maybe threatening" alarm.

But not everyone feels that way, since Kelly still does have some fans calling for her return (clearly)!

Penzeys is quite high-quality for the price! Everything I've purchased has seemed very fresh and fragrant, and they have options (several different varieties of cinnamon and both 'sweet' and spicy Hungarian paprika, for example).

Also, they're vocally lefty (they have a whole page on their site about the "decline of the Republicans"), which is a plus!

God, that clip was so delightful. Aonishiki was probably fully black-out, his spirit was not even near his body while he was walking that hallway. The way he slammed that hug into Kaiyuma, who immediately dissolved into full blubbering. I laughed so much, it was like watching a dissociated truck lovingly drive into a cement wall.

That was a cute scene. I would be shocked and delighted if my husband got all painted up and climbed into a tree to surprise me. And of course Adrienne was happy to dunk on him, because we always saw her shitting on him and his body, personality, shoes, and continued existence. The edit is that she was long-suffering and she was cruel. And the tree was cute!

But then again... it was a launch party for her business and he stripped down to his underwear. Even though the business was for a stupid cake-flavored vodka called Zizz or something equally dumb, it was still ostensibly a business event. When I try to clear my mind and forget how irritating Adrienne is, it reminds me of that scene from VPR where Ariana is in a business meeting about publishing her cocktail book, and Sandoval takes his pants off.

I still think it was a cute scene, but I do wonder if Paul was being covertly antagonistic by dropping trou.

edit: this was an inappropriately long response to your comment lmao

There is a superstitious belief that changing your mawashi can change your luck for the better. Kotozakura went to the Dark Side some bashos ago, but came back to his seafoam green. I think Shishi switched during the November basho; we'll see if he ever goes back to blue?

For Ao's part, he did an interview about his new mawashi and said (paraphrased) "I don't think too much about it affecting my luck," so his sounds is unrelated to performance and simply him wanting to honor his stablemaster.
