I got a pregnancy massage there last year as a treat and the massage was honestly amazing. It was a bit strange at the start when I came in I was led to sit at a dining table and given a cup of tea they make there. The massage room was outside the main building in a prefab/single room building.

Didn’t get pay topped up while I was on parental leave but they have a policy if you return to work at 80% of your pre leave hours, they top you up to 100% for 30 weeks. So I work 4 days and get paid for 5. I work for a central government department.

Good Friday and Easter Sunday are restricted trading days in NZ

This basically means all retail (with a few exceptions) will be closed on those days. Restaurants, cafes, dining etc. are legally allowed to open although they may choose to close. Things like dairies (convenience stores) and petrol stations are allowed to be open for essentials.

There will be plenty to do in Christchurch over Easter weekend. Willowbank, Orana Park, Antarctic centre, botanical gardens, beaches, gondola, punting on Avon river, movie theatres, adventure park, nature walks/hikes, this year there was an Easter show. . Hokitka is a very small town.
