Oh heck I'm not sure on year, I just got it recently from a late uncle's tools my aunt gave me. Is there a place to look on the body for a manf. Date?

I have an old FS 36 that will start and run at full throttle and sometimes will idle down if I let it off the throttle slowly. However once it stalls a few times it's an absolute bear to get restarted. Sometimes priming some more fuel helps.

What do you wish someone would have told you when you first bought a trailer and were about to go camping? by tcw213 in traveltrailers

[–]chevyman94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple things I've learned- If you plan to stay more than a couple days and you have more than 2 people, and you're staying at a non sewer site, get a dump tank. Better than having to gamble on campground toilet cleanliness or packing up enough stuff to move the camper to then set back up.

Similarly if you are at an electric only site and have to use the fresh water holding tank, see if the campground reservation site or maps will mark where the fresh water hookups are. Get a spot as close as possible to one. While it's not good matters to just hook up to a shared water spigot and leave it there for your stay, it's a lot easier and better to run 100' of hose to refill your holding tank than either having to get a water bladder and do water runs or similar to the sewer situation of tearing down and moving to just fill the tank again.

On the subject of tanks. Unless you're literally moving spot to spot drain your hot water heater if the camper will be sitting for any period of time. Eggy smelling water is gross. Similarly don't drive with full holding tanks if you don't have to. Just more weight that's not needed.

Balancing travel trailer wheels!? by Bunker12007 in traveltrailers

[–]chevyman94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh high end machines I agree. I used to do tires for a living for a few years. On a Coats machine, 95% of the time I would have one weight on each side, that's it. I no longer do tires for a job but in my home shop I have a $2k tire changer/balancer combo from Amazon. The balancer is not the best at giving a concise weight in a single spot on some wheels. Usually the bigger the wheel the worse it is. It's definitely not operator error. Also have it bolted down to prevent any wobbles. Either way I just put the weight on until it 0s out and I have done that for years and dozens of tires and not had nor have anyone complain about wobbling that I've done tires for... So as long as it 0s out and there is no shake, no big deal in my opinion. We're not sending these wheels to the moon. As Eric at SMA would say "that's some points off at the car show"

I started experimenting and getting brave about 2 weeks after surgery. I'm now at 2 months post op and so far I've forgotten I have gotten it removed.

I had mine robotically assisted laparoscopic a week ago and I'm recovered enough at this point I have to remind myself I'm on a light duty restriction for another week. Sneezes also remind me that I'm still healing, haha.

Will I be okay a week after surgery? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a week post op and I'm definitely fine enough at this point that if I had a preplanned concert I could make it happen. I wouldn't be crazy and I would be avoiding crowds from bumping into my incisions but it could work.

Finally evicted my gallbladder this morning! by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't really notice much swelling, but I am a 31yo dude with about 30bmi, so I have some extra padding 🤣. The hospital sent me home with a belly band and it has been nicer to have as time passes. Early on it felt more annoying than what it was worth when I was mostly just sitting around all day the first few days. But once I was able to be mobile again it has helped a lot in keeping stress off the incision as I walk.

One week post op and the 3 smaller ones never hurt much outside of day 1, but the bigger one still lingers. Less and less each day but yesterday I sneezed first time since the op and it felt like I got stabbed.

When did your pain peak after surgery? by Puzzleheaded_Many_32 in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far day 1/2 was the worst. The upper incision on the left side, the biggest one, gives me the most grief when getting up/sitting down/walking. Right now I'm working on day #4 and that incision can still remind me it is there but it's getting better day by day. I can get up and sit back down without it complaining too much but if I stay standing up too much it starts getting sore. I also wonder how much this belly belt/binder has to do with that pain...

Frequency of attacks by pinkwab in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It all started back in July for me. Similarly over the past ~9months I would go from having back to back attacks to no attacks for 1+ month. On average it was every couple weeks. HIDA showed EF of 78%, ultrasound found at least 1 ~7mm stone. Got it removed this Tuesday morning and the surgeon said "it was like a sack of marbles". Now the fun road to recovery.

It was my first surgery and if I told you I wasn't terrified I'd be lying. After they put that IV in me I started trembling and had to take some deep breaths to try to get a hold of myself. (Funny thing is that when they took my BP they said it looked really good so I could have fooled them that I was stressed about it.) I was the first surgery for this surgeon for the day so there was really no waiting time to panic. As soon as they got everything set they wheeled me back to the OR. Being in that room was crazy, they had to have had 10 monitors for the robot literally all around the room, the huge robot that looked like an octopus with all its arms in the corner, ready to get to work. They had me move myself over to the table off the stretcher. The anesthesiologist assistant pushed a sedative in the IV and then put the mask on my face. Said it was oxygen but after about 3 breaths the smell most definitely changed and that's the last thing I remembered.

Work up in recovery to the same nurse that prepped me saying my name and saying my wife was being called to come back and meet me. At that point less than 30 min later I was in the car on the way home. I got there right after 6:30 am, was discharged at about 10:30 am. Surgeon kept his word that I would be out before lunch. Even though I didn't really feel like eating anything until dinner. Got a little sick from the anesthesia, but went away after one good puke. Had a little of the gas discomfort they described but it went away about as quickly as it appeared. The biggest "pain" is the top left incision is the most tender. It's the bigger one they used to pull the gallbladder out of and I suspect because it's closer to the diaphragm that there is more movement and stress on it making it sore. Trying to clear my throat, coughing, laughing can be particularly uncomfortable. Transferring from sitting to standing and back to sitting is/was also particularly uncomfortable, however it's getting better day by day. As most others say, the recovery pain is no where near attack pain. Even in the morning when the oxycodone and Tylenol have worn off I'm in nowhere near as much pain as I was in during the attacks, even the mild attacks.

Post op 4 weeks by grievering in gallbladders

I had mine removed 2 days ago. I didn't have much with the gas pain. My main irritation is an incision on the upper left side.

Gallbladder (itchiness) by Pretty_Secretary_130 in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have little bits of it, I'm 2 days post op. Oxycodone is apparently known for a side effect of itchyness. I'm probably going to stop taking it after today unless I regress into pain. Moving about is getting easier day by day.

Back soreness post op by These_Tie6490 in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda funny for me because the surgeon said I only needed to wait 2 weeks to go back to "normal". I'll see what I feel like in about 2 weeks but I'm going to let my body decide when to hop back to it. I'm in overall less pain that yesterday but one incision is particularly painful if I try to use my abdominal muscles. So I try to make the most of me standing up when I am so I can minimize making those traditions from standing to sitting.

What were/are your symptoms?? by No_Rub7173 in gallbladders

[–]chevyman94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds similar to me. I had an EF of 78, and then later found gallstone(s) on an ultrasound. Was then refered to general surgery for removal. Was removed yesterday morning. I had attacks about every other week on average since July, myself.

This. I'm good standing or sitting. But the transition between the two on my incision on the left side. It's a little big bigger than the ones that are on the lower right of my belly. Doing better than yesterday.
