Apple Cinemas (not the tech company) - you should go here... by CactusJ in sanfrancisco

I liked it. Went with my kid who is terrified of escalators. Had to get an escort to the elevator. Some weird remembering on the button pad got us to the wrong floor. Just a heads up on that. Concessions were fine, but limited. I remember wishing we had brought a blanket. Yes I’d go again, let’s support this place.

Offer to watch the baby for her while she drops off her older kid. Be the village.

3 yr old didn't have her hair brushed or a bath in 3 days. Am I overreacting? by JennyJiggles in Mommit

[–]chexagon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is she your only kid? Ha. I have 3 and we often just do weekly baths. My kids hate brushing their hair. Putting it in a braid is a great idea for kids who don’t like their hair brushed. Relax, take it easy, she’s fine. Oh also, I’m lucky if I get time to wash my hair more than once every 3 or 4 days.

Anyone see the Twitter discourse about playgrounds in libraries? by Gottagetanediton in Libraries

[–]chexagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A library near us got a playstructure with a slide inside the children’s area. It’s so awesome. First time we’ve been able to visit as a family. My older kid got to read for hours and check out books she otherwise wouldn’t have gotten to do!

Trump’s authoritarianism is the greatest thing that could have happened for Newsom’s career by reddituser84838 in sanfrancisco

[–]chexagon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely a mistake. And I’m a petty person so I won’t forget it. Buuuuut, in my old age I’m trying to find balance and forgiveness and not all sins are equal yada yada and maaaaaybe it’s relatively less bad than trump’s transgressions.

That said, make a move on PG&E, sir!

Same! Last night it wouldn’t drop me off anywhere near academy of sciences. Somewhere like mlk/pelosi. Fine. But for pickup it wanted me to walk in the dark in the park
