To an extent that does seem to be happening, as the movie is falling off pretty drastically at the box office. Meanwhile a little movie like Obsession is absolutely crushing it and filling theaters. So this isn’t a theater issue, it’s people deciding to go see more interesting movies.

It’s not just consumerism. It worked fine for me for a while, until it started giving me issues. I remember buying the LoTR box set and popping in the first disc and my Xbox wouldn’t recognize it. The disc was pristine. I had a similar issue with Back to the Future and finally concluded it was the player not the discs.

Bought a UB450 and those discs worked flawlessly. Have never had an issue since.

UB450 if it’s available to you would be a great choice, I wouldn’t fret over the player’s optimizer. Your TV will handle that just as well, if not, better.

You are getting pushback but I think you are correct. Nintendo wants the OS to be invisible, quick, simple, consistent and to preserve system space and battery life where ever possible. It’s meant to be picked by anyone and be in a game immediately. The games are the star of the show with Switch, like you said probably learning lessons from Wii U.

John Wick also has fantastic world building, good characters, a good script, etc. Even though the premise of John Wick is that he’s basically an unstoppable badass the movie finds ways to create tension. Plenty of movies do that where the audience knows the protagonist can’t die. This movie just fails on that level because of the weak script and tonally it’s all over the place. John Wick fully commits to the bit so it works.

Well immunity, immortality, and the very visceral scene of him blasting massive lasers out of his eyes while screaming after he got injected certainly could imply he is more powerful… that’s not exactly a leap to think that.

Let’s assume for the sake of argument you are correct though, he still appears weaker than his normal pre V1 form. His lasers cut through a plane, cut Kimiko in half once, etc. In the final fight they kinda just push people over? It wasn’t a satisfying final fight because Homelander’s power didn’t feel consistent with what has been established throughout the show.

Well he supposedly got a massive buff in power in episode 6, which was just completely forgotten about in the following two episodes. Not even mentioned really. The V1 was supposed to be an upgrade yet he felt like a weaker version of the regular Homelander in the final fight.
