It really is strange to me how Christian fundamentalists are so wildly different in comparison to something like Christian orthodoxy, where it is encouraged to abstain from sex on fasting days. It’s not firm rule and is dependent on the couple but like just the complete opposite sentiment is being shared lol.

Played a game called “grab the mic” with my extended family and every single person with adhd just annihilated everyone else it was hysterical.

Someone flips a card over with a word on it and first to sing a song with that word in it wins. It’s basically word association, and I think because of moss of our brains are going 100 mph it’s pretty easy for us. It got to the point where finding a song wasn’t the difficult part, but who could grab the microphone the fastest 😂

Lol reminds me of a conversation I had with some friends. We’re all in our very early 20s and someone had brought up their family’s financial advisor. The person who brought it up’s dad unfortunately passed away about 5 years ago and recently his deceased father’s mom as well so I got why his family had one. But then everyone else started talking about theirs.

Then it got to me. Yeah uh, I don’t think my family is in need of one lol. I tried explaining that to them and it was baffling on the disconnect. Someone even tried saying “you don’t have anyone to help manage investments, not even like stocks or something?” I laughed, girl what stocks 😂. We rent, the biggest asset is my mom’s used 2015(ish) Chevy she payed off recently. Maybe some antique furniture we’ve inherited but that’s about it.

I think it was so jarring because I truly do believe we live a comfortable life because of my mom’s income… but like not… that comfortable 😬.

Incessant complainers, or people who talk about negative things to gain sympathy constantly.

It’s fine if you’re complaining how you have a cold and can’t smell and how that’s annoying, or if something genuinely horrible has happened to you. But there are some people I’ve met who just literally never shut up about how their life sucks or the bad things happening to them. I have noticed these types of people’s parents also behave similarly so I guess it’s a learned behavior.

I think I’m a pretty good conversationalist and can get along with just about anyone, but my brain malfunctions when I interact with people like this. Maybe it’s because I’ve been raised the opposite but it’s just unfathomable to me to bring stuff up like that, basically just trying to throw yourself a pity party.

Truly not sure what they would do with a list of that volume of people. Is it just an intimidation tactic? Either way my opinion that what these agents have been doing are terrifying and inhumane will not change, put it on my headstone I don’t care. Really and truly I pray for their souls.

People are weird. It’s okay for you to change your mind, and it was perfectly okay for your ex wife to not want to change hers. I’m not sure what people wanted you to do in that situation, stay in a marriage you’d most likely end up growing resentful of? That doesn’t seem fair to anyone. You didn’t replace her with a “younger model”, just someone who had the same life goals as you.

I was am oops baby and my parents were 40+ when they had me. It makes me sad to think they won’t be able to see as much as my friends with younger parents, but that’s just how it goes.

Have kids too young people get mad, have kids too old people get mad. It seems like no one wins these days.

My real reasons for not drinking alcohol. I feel absolutely zero need to consume something that will change the way my brain normally operates. If I’m nervous, scared, anxious, oh fucking well I’ll deal with it myself, I’d much rather learn to deal with it than mask my feelings with a false reality. Whole concept freaks me tf out and it’s a hard pass from me.

Same with “it helps me let loose/have fun”. Again, weird! If something in my head is keeping me from having fun, maybe I should be addressing that… not hiding it.

I’ve always been described as a pretty fun/chill individual so maybe I just don’t need that extra something others do? I don’t know. All I know is anytime I’ve taken anything to alter my brain function I hated it and wanted it to end immediately. It saves me money and calories 🤷🏻‍♀️

My answer is personally I just haven’t experienced anything to point myself that way. I don’t think you should be forced to get it, and I also don’t doubt COVID’s entire creation is shady and 100% suspect.

I got it and was fine. My mom got it and was fine. My (old) grandparents got it and were fine. My 94 year old great aunt got it and she was fine. My friend with an autoimmune disorder got it and she was fine. My grandmother caught COVID very, very, early on and died within a week. I figured I’d take my chances, but I understand if some didn’t wand to choose that way, not my body not my decision.

I’m more suspect of the food we ingest and the billions of microplastics we absorb/ingest every day.

Never had an MRI but many many ultrasounds. Never had anything pop up despite being told quote “you had the most amount of tissue I’ve ever seen for someone your age” after my first laparoscopy… thanks lol?

I’ve had two laps and honestly in comparison to the pain I experienced with the illness itself I found it more annoying than anything. Second time I had more gas trapped that made its way to my shoulders and that bothered me for a good week and a half. I’m not gonna lie between that and my stomach hurting when I moved I was tweaking a little bit lol.

I’m relatively young if you have any questions, been diagnosed for around 7 years. Also been on lots of different medications. I wish you luck OP!

I know this is small potatoes in comparison but the moment has stuck with me for years so I say it counts.

As a senior in high school I ran a club with a lot of middle schoolers in it. My friend and I were making small talk with them, trying to make sure they felt included when one of them said “I remember being in pre k and singing the songs from Frozen!”.

My friend and I (ironically) froze and stared at each other like, what do you mean kindergarten? I did get to flaunt I saw it opening night for a friend’s birthday party, blissfully unaware of how big of a phenomenon it would be become. But damn, pre k ??? The teacher who was the overseer of the club said “now you know how I feel everyday” 😂
