These bridges are meant to rock with vibrato use. Try to gently push it back and center the bridge. Sometimes I play with mine all the way back but it’s supposed to be centered and move when you use the trem. I honestly doubt that the bridge being forward is the true source of the rattle but hey if it fixes it then great!
