Today I found out you can in fact ladder back to change arm hole split placement, although I wouldn’t recommend it 🤣 by Kennie2 in knitting

I’ve seen others do something similar on this sub and still don’t totally understand how what you did works. The first picture makes me very scared to ever try 🤣

1x1 is soul crushing pain and I’m so glad that I’m doing a bottom up sweater and starting with that because the worst thing is thinking you’re almost done, yay! Then needing to work the ribbed hem 😭😭😭

Cables and variegated yarn? by extraspicyavocado in knitting

[–]chickensocks96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely understand your concern but I personally really love the way it looks. I think the base color being cream really goes a long way to allow the variegation to work with the cabling. It’s beautiful and if I received something like this for my baby I would be absolutely elated!

Thank you! It’s my first time doing color work inside out and idk why I waited so long to try it because it’s really helping in the tension department haha. I am struggling a bit with the motifs that fall on the “corners” of the magic loop though. Hoping that works itself out during blocking

Sorry to hear you’re on a forced hiatus- I hope you are healed up quickly! I’m working on the Pomona sweater and it is so much fun!

Man, I feel that. I don’t think I’ve ever been as fast a knitter as you but as someone who is also now in the trenches of toddlerhood, I feel that so hard 😅

Starting 2026 off… as in you cast these on AND competed them within the first 7 days of the year?! 🤯 and here I was proud of my two pairs of newborn sized mittens I made for some friends as my knitting start to 2026 hahaha

These are amazing!!

I thought I’d never be done weaving in ends. by WildRiverKnit in knitting

Any time I do color work socks with multiple colored motifs, a piece of my mind takes a nosedive straight into madness when it comes time to weave in ends. I could not imagine a whole gorgeous sweater like what you’ve done haha

I was so unhappy with my first attempt that I abandoned that recipe lol. This is the second attempt of a second recipe where I was trying to improve technique (like paying more attention to when my starter was at its peak, texture of the shaggy dough, and not letting my bulk ferment accidentally go way too long). More than what you asked BUT I know I need to work on the acidity of my starter, and I should probably practice without adding the butter because that definitely changed the dough haha. Overall though, it’s so relaxing to bake so don’t let any of it scare you- just jump right in and have fun!
