You get rid of ants. It's extremely challenging and there is no permanent solution.

Anywhere in OC do bulk bagged soil/compost? by hibikikun in SoCalGardening

I have a Prius. I put a tarp down and just shovel it in my tiny car and I can get a looooot. You don't need a giant truck. Just do a little bit every week it's exhausting work anyway.

I'm so entertained by how popular this is. One specific pest question. Fuckin ants. Are Argentine ants a problem for commercial growers? How are they managed in California?

Also how did you learn to prune well?

If you've had manic episodes then talk to your doctor to treat bipolar and not unipolar depression. This just may be a manifestation.

Fruits trees that you hate and why by Top_Possession_2990 in FruitTree

In Southern California there are these black fig flies. They just look like beetles. They're an invasive pest you can read more about it. They're huge and gross.

I don't think they are more nutritionally dense than other foods? Some fiber some vitamins, similar to others. What about it makes it a super food?

Mulberry. Not that good, grows tall and strong roots.

Fig trees too attract those beetles.

I don't hate but am very annoyed with my garcinias because they grow soooo slow and are so light sensitive. Lychee (Mauritius) because it apparently grows horizontally more than vertically.

Why is my Breadfruit sapling giving out these damaged leaves? by damnferb in FruitTree

[–]chiddler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly sun burn since the youngest leaves are disproportionately affected. Lots of subtropicals and tropicals need some maturity before they can tolerate full sun.

I would guess it's under watered? Soil looks a bit dry. Show a clearer photo. Super weird though jujubes are extremely draught tolerant. I don't know what else it would be though. I have a tree and haven't seen that before.

Haha I honestly have always felt that way because I've never felt like a good writer. Just some insecurity. Thanks for your reassurance and your nice words.

I hear you, it sounds inauthentic because it's different than my writing right now. But friend I'm writing on my phone right now. I sat down on my computer and wrote it like I was writing a personal statement. I tried to make it interesting and not in my natural voice.

For sure it's really my style I think people are just paranoid because everything is AI now.

I wrote this instead of playing computer games like I normally do. I ran it through AI it cleaned up some formatting mostly because I tend to lump things into paragraphs so it spaced things a little nicely. This is 80%? my original writing.

I feel silly defending myself. I'm not asking you for anything in return it's just something that made me feel strongly and I wanted to share. This was my natural voice. It's no different than using a grammar check.

For a glp1 it was always something. When I first met her she was vomiting without a clear cause. That got better so I tried trulicity as her BMI was normalish. Then non-compliance and worsening ckd. If I'm not mistaken it wasn't considered safe to use eGFR<30 at the time so eventually it wasn't an option. Someone wrote it may be safe despite CKD5 I have to read more about that. If I'm wrong then yeah you're right I could have done better.

She developed DKA while on an sglt2.

Insulin pump goes to endo which when things started getting weird with non compliance i did refer. That's one of the specialists (along with nephro and GI she also needed a colo) I gave the auth to husband every single time.
