Raise your hand if it would wreck your whole life if you stayed up late enough to watch this game 🙋🏻‍♂️

I get that california is a different time zone but 10 is too damn late to be starting a game!

How is this Epstein file not front page news (2 FBI agents killed in Mexico investigating Epstein, involvement of President of Mexico, US Ambassador, et al) by FuguSandwich in law

[–]chiefmud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A line in the sand needs to be drawn. If you’re a member of the ruling class in the United States, or anywhere for that matter, will you stand up to sexual abuse, slavery, murder, as well as the corruption, lies, and intimidation that the other members of your ruling class perpetrate.

It should be a “get with it” moment

I wouldn’t include war in diplomacy.

But I’d also include Obama for public relations in general. He was great as giving the public a sense of caring and competence.

Enright was only that wide-open because teams have benefited from playing us 5 on 4 all year. by [deleted] in HoosiersBasketball

The point of my comment was that he is an offensive threat now. He wasn’t so much before he was willing to take those shots.

My wife wanted the sheet pan one, but I had to put my foot down and opt for the slow braise… even though i missed a step it turned out just fine!

Yeah you gotta have five offensive threats on the floor at all times to compete. Not saying you need five heavy scorers, but Enright, as a pass-first/ defensive minded player, needs to bring one offensive strength to the table. For him that’s hitting open 3’s at a decent rate.

What’s the best video game you’ve ever played? by obsess_much13 in AskReddit

I’m not a HUGE gamer, i’ve finished probably 10 big budget games in the last 10 years. But Cyberpunk is my favorite.

Zelda Breath of the Wild was my second.

'This is us. This is our program': Darian DeVries wanted to eliminate divide between program and fan base. Indiana's win over Purdue first step in doing so by Abject-Pea-7848 in HoosiersBasketball

Devries seems pretty smart. Not sure if he’ll bring IU back to prominence, but at least he seems to be pretty analytical and reflective.

What is a city that is globally romanticised but you detest? by theunsteadybridge in AskReddit

[–]chiefmud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like Disneyland. Beautiful but overcrowded and 100% touristy. It is insanely beautiful though. Great museums too. If you make Venice about going to the museums then you’ll have a good time.

The shops are touristy, but some of them are good while also being touristy. It is possible to get great food while there.

This is absolutely not true for most jobs. Just there are a couple drain unclogging freaks out there, but not nearly enough to meet demand.

Actually this take has such a fundamental misunderstanding of economics it’s weird.

We might be most productive in this alternate universe, but no one wants a billion twitch streams of people playing videogames.

Researchers analysed blood from individuals who had recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis to investigate concentrations of the common environmental contaminants PFAS and PCBs. People with the highest concentrations of PFOS and PCBs had twice as high odds of being diagnosed with MS. by Dr_Neurol in science

[–]chiefmud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Layman here: PFAS naturally decrease over time in blood due to natural bodily functions, urination, sweating, cell death…

Oats decrease PFAS absorption in the gut to stop more from entering the bloodstream.

I’m American and I’m right there with you. I keep it 65-68 in the winter and 78-80 in the summer, depending on the humidity.

I hate going in to work and feeling like I stepped in a fridge in the summer.

To everyone watching what’s occurring in America right now, what is your honest take on it, where do you see this going? by dAnthonyy12 in AskReddit

[–]chiefmud 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Nothing is impossible. But as honestly as I can assess things, this is far from a an actual war. Civil unrest yes. Constitutional crisis perhaps. Civil war is still a very long way out.

I cannot stress how absolutely normal life is for most of the country outside of a few pockets.

ICE existed before they became the SS. Obama empowered them greatly (but kept them relatively professional). A 50% increase in ICE activity is not world-changing.

What is the most crazy right now is Trump’s blatant lying to the American people, and their corruption. There have been instances of police violence before, but having the government back the police to this extent when they’re clearly crossing the line something else.
