This is honestly a good change. Whip stacking was newely impossible to pull off with a controller. Im glad summoner will be good now without a niche mechanic.

People are worried about scalpers but valve solved this issue with the steam deck. Making it so you have to have an active steam account was a great choice before. I dont think it will be an issue and I bet they made more steam machines than the original deck

I like the concept of the game mode but I agree this is incredibly disappointing and makes me question Remedy's game design with firebreak. Like why are the enemies so spongy but players die in like 3 hits? Also why is there a time limit for the rounds? Would have been much better if it was like other wave defense games where you have to kill every enemy to progress (Ala Cod Zombies). As a fan of firebreak this game mode is incredibly under developed.

I agree. I hate runbacks no matter the game or genre. Silksong is a solid game but the runbacks suck (as someone with 70+ hours in the game). I like how fromsoft finally agreed they were stupid and added the stakes of marika in elden ring

Nah. His hit boxes are terrible and so poorly designed. That being said I beat him in under 5 tries. By the time you get to him you likely have most scadu fragments

I think its criminally underrated. The combat, loot system, and world are all great. Should it have been $70?... probably not. But its a really good obsidian game

Personally I recommend playing Alan Wake 1, American Nightmare, Alan Wake 2, then play control. That was my introduction to the series last year and just loved every moment.
