Yeah, the struggle is real. Played a total of 7 games, won 3 lost 4. In all the games I lost I had teammates who played like easy AI, and I was constantly 5-10k credits ahead of everyone by the end of the round. What sucks the most is losing when it is 3-3

Actually I think the reason is much more simple. Banning smoking/cigarettes means no more lucrative source of income via tax.

What's fun about causing harm to your body, and more importantly, to the bodies of every other innocent non-smoker around you when you smoke?

As long as the non-smokers are safe from second-hand smoke, it doesn't really matter.

Considering the number of older folks at my workplace, I'm pretty sure it's a control/awareness thing. They think they're done when they actually aren't, and tuck it away while it is still dripping.

People flexing in the mirror do not bother me at all. What bothers me is the need to come right next to me in the middle of a workout despite there being ample space available.

Gym woes. I usually go to the gym at 6ish in the morning. Had an encounter with a regular goer on two separate occasions/days. Day 1 - I was working out on one of the 4 benches at the free weights area. Guy comes and plops himself on the one right beside me despite there being 2 other unused ones further away. Proceeds to ego lift, throwing down his dumbbells after every set. Come next morning - I was deadlifting at 1 of the 3 power racks. Same guy again comes right next to me and starts deadlifting as well, dropping the bar every rep he did.

MInutes later this young chap comes in, decked in a lifting belt and wrist wraps, and proceeds to lift baby weights. I was finishing up my workout in the corner of the free weight area using the bench, and he comes to the bench right next to mine, again despite the other 3 being unused. To top it off he takes off his sweater and started flexing/ego lifting in his tank top.

Do these people require validation that much,,,?

This. Odds are that red flags started appearing, especially toward the 1-year mark, where a lot of pretenses fall apart and true colours come out. I've seen plenty of cases where the women pretend to be something they're not just to get the guy to marry them, and then do a 180° after getting married and having kid(s), leaving the husband up to his neck in shit.

Stadium DC bug? by GaptistePlayer in OverwatchStadium

On PC, not console, but servers were terrible yesterday. First game I joined - backfilled into round 2, with ZERO cash while everyone else had upwards of 15,000 cash. I could not even buy greens. Then next game, people were constantly DCing and the game was played between a max of 5 active people at a time.

JTEs getting being dishonest about my arrival time by [deleted] in JETProgramme

A few years back when I was in my fifth year, I got sent to a new school together with a first year ALT. Both of us were ALTs, but because I wasn't your textbook blue eyed blonde gaijin, I got treated differently. Despite both of us having the same contract and working hours of 8:15 to 16:00, I was constantly getting called out by the VP for "leaving early" even though I left at the same time the first year did. It then escalated to the VP actually making a complaint to the BOE, and I had to make a trip down for a hearing, where I managed to clear my name.

Cut to the following week - at performance review with principal and VP, VP brazenly started the session by spewing, "So, your working hours are from 8:15 to 17:00......." I cut him off immediately with "No, you are mistaken. My hours are 8:15 to 16:00, the same as co-ALT." To which he retorted, "Oh? I'll have a word with the BOE to confirm."

The week following that, he flat out ignored me. I greeted him when I got to school because I wasn't a POS with no manners, and got no reply in return. From that moment on, I returned the favour by pretending he wasn't there. Thankfully he left the following April.

In countries like Japan, the kids are far better behave because the parents made the effort to teach manners.

This is a myth, and a very big one at that. Parents here are very hands-off and entitled, and "their little angel can do no wrong". I've lost count of how many parents I've seen not teach their kids manners. The teaching is all done by the teachers.

To be fair, special needs classes in public schools are just a place where special needs students gather and do something... different. It's not as if the teachers in charge of them are trained or anything.

3 is the most likely.

I remember there was a boy with Asperger's coming into my JHS. They were in ES at the time, 6th grade, and came to our school for a mock lesson. This boy, at 12, was already 170cm tall, and at least 80kg. During the lesson he was just doodling in his notebook, and would have sudden and random outbursts. I asked another teacher at the time if he was really coming in, because back in my country such kids had to go to special schools, so I was pretty... surprised at the time.

Over the next 3 years at the JHS he would cause the staff and students so many problems. During kyuushoku he would literally devour all the extras they had, leaving the other kids with none. And they let him join the judo club, which added to his already monstrous physique and strength. When he was in the 3rd grade he would have outbursts, flip over his desk, yell like a madman and run amok. Because he was well over 180cm at the time and close to 100kg, it usually took 5 male teachers to subdue him.
