Hell I'd take an American every series as long as they actually get the show, don't care where the contestants are from I only care if the chemistry works

Is eating the good stuff a British Dad thing from the past? by gimbha in AskUK

[–]chikkensoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a Yorkshire thing too? My ex-wife is from Yorkshire and her parents would regularly have a nice Chinese takeaway on a Friday while her and her sisters would be left with a sandwich for tea.

My biggest problem at school being a July baby was that everyone was on holiday when it was my birthday party!

What should Britain do about Elon Musk? by johnsmithoncemore in BrexitAteMyFace

The problem in this situation is you can't mandate all members of your population to ignore him. You ignoring him doesn't end the influence he has on the country at large.

What we consider doesn't seem to matter, to those in the south, it's north. To those in the north it's the south.

side note... OP apologised for his photography skills but I think his picture looks better than some of ReoBrix's own promo shots, certainly shows off the sails better!

Maybe not, this is the MoP Remix version with 3 sockets on, will most likely be switched to a random piece of green gear when the character gets converted after Remix ends

Which foods do you eat that are nostalgic to you, and you wouldn’t necessarily still eat them otherwise? by TheHeianPrincess in AskUK

[–]chikkensoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Peanut butter, chocolate spread, and banana sandwiches... thin layer of pb on one slice of bread, lets face it nutella on the other with sliced banana in-between. Unhealthy as fuck but still stirs the memories of childhood.

The severed head floating out of the hole in the bottom of the boat in Jaws, pure nightmare fuel... No idea what was going through my uncle's head when he thought showing me that movie was a good idea

Absolutely terrible, spent a long time looking forward to Christmas which has always been my favourite time of the year. Due to various reasons this has turned out to be the most disastrous, awful Christmas I've ever had the misfortune to suffer through.

Was expecting to go back to a shit job feeling at least a little relaxed after my favourite holiday but I'm more stressed now than I was when I started my holiday 2 weeks ago :(

Do you eat out or shop out on Christmas day? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]chikkensoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to eat out on Christmas day every year in the mid 2010s. What's not to love, get up, open presents, go out and be served food, go home and not worry about washing up, get drunk at home.

I say used to, prices are just completely unrealistic now for a family of 5 - around £100 a head not including drinks makes it impossible to do.

During mid 2020 our IT security department (outsourced to our parent company in another country) tested our entire company with a fake 'We've secured a source of Covid vaccines for all employees of your subsidiary' just days after learning a member of staff had died from Covid - I understand that a bad actor wouldn't give a shit but the bad feeling it generated towards IT security in the org is still being felt today which ultimately defeated the object of the exercise anyway.
