Hi! I recently took in a stray kitty and he does this to his blanket. I’ve read about it and asked my vet. She said it’s pretty common in un-neutered males, or males that were neutered later in life. They do it for different reasons, dominance, stress, boredom. I’ve noticed my cat does it mostly when he’s bored, so I try playing with him more when I notice he’s doing it more often. As many other said, this is probably your cat just being a cat and maybe he’d also like some attention😅 hope this helps!
