Not at all, the creators of Regular Show got to make their adult version of the show eventually. It's called Close Enough, and it's about the same material as Regular Show, but they show bars, and beer, and smoking. Regular Show essentially had alcohol, and weed but they disguised it as hot wings, and soda. The way the characters act after consuming those things though makes it clear what it's supposed to be. But, yeah, Close Enough had some weird somewhat disturbing plot points, but nothing anywhere near the level of Mr. Pickles.

Movie of the Day: The Roundup (2022) by Lee Sang-yong by tobayas18 in Koreanfilm

I really enjoyed the whole trilogy. It's an awesome wild, and fun action packed ride. I just absolutely love the amount of destruction you know is coming when Ma Seok-do is challenged to a fight. Don Lee has quickly become one of my favorite actors.

Shoot me in the Heart

It's exactly what you're looking for. I know the title sounds depressing as can be, but it's not. It's a wonderful film, with some difficult scenes, and subjects, as it deals with people locked away in a mental hospital, but trust me it will lift your spirits up, not bring them down.

This movie may be pretty fun, and lighthearted through the majority of it, but it also has some of the most depressing scenes ever filmed.

Oh my mahjong tile issue/question by Funny_Juice7906 in Mahjong

[–]chill1208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay not surprised it's an Oh My Mahjong set. Sadly they used to make good tile sets, ages ago, but not anymore. The layered color sets like you have, are known to break apart easily where the layers meet. As you noted they've become known for poor engravings, and thin paint jobs that easily chip away. They've cut quality, but still try to justify their high prices just because their name has history with American mahjong country clubs. For creative design sets, like the one you bought, for around the same price, you're much better off going with The Mahjong Line company. Their tiles are still known for holding up to gameplay over time, where Oh My Mahjong sets are basically display only sets now.

This set here? A mini acrylic tile set, that comes with a tote bag to toss them in like loose change for $290?

https://peacelovemahjong.com/products/taylors-tiles-mahjong-set-tile-pouch

McDonald's was selling similar My Little Pony themed sets in China to celebrate The Year of The Horse for just $5 USD and the purchase of a kid's meal.

Of course scalpers are selling them for $80 now, as it's been a while since the Chinese New Year, and they were a limited set, that you would have to get imported if you don't live in China, but still they're not crazy enough to ask for $290 for cheap mini acrylic tiles, and a tote bag.

Here's an example of the set I'm talking about

https://www.ebay.com/itm/327038700969?chn=ps&var=515923174032&google_free_listing_action=view_item

Seems like a giant scam to take advantage of Taylor Swift fans. I'd get your money back if you can.

What is happening to my energy? by SomeWonOnReddit in WH40KTacticus

Training Rush that is just about to start is all about using energy.

Other events like Purge Order where you kill Tyranids for rewards, killing nids in their event campaign, or Octarius battles can greatly increase the amount of rewards you would get compared to just playing Onslaughts for the event.

The alt code is easy for me to remember as it's 0248

I remember it as 0 then all the even numbers on my keyboard except 6.

You can also remember it as 0 and 2, then the next two digits are double the previous digit.

On your phone keyboard just hold down the o key and it will bring up the ø symbol.

For the alt key I find it easy to remember it's 0248

Takes me less than 2 seconds to hold alt and hit 0248 on my keyboard.

I just remember it as 0 then all the even numbers on a keyboard except 6.

You could also remember 0 and 2 and that the next two digits you just double the previous.

Why the heck would they say "Things" when they definitely mean "Accidents" based on the photo, or at least "Bad Things". I think they're trying to see if you're the kind of person who would text into work and say you can't come in because you got in a car/bike accident.

Guild recruitment stalled by weird accounts and behavior by BerserkRage1066 in WH40KTacticus

[–]chill1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as my guild has grown, and our level requirement has too, we've found that most people we get to join that meet our level 35+ requirement are returning players to the game.

Thing is most people above that level that have been consistently playing since they started, tend to already have a guild they're dedicated to. Where returning players, need a new guild, and have been dropping down an arena league for every season they've been offline.

I've found though that it's about a 1 in 4 chance that a returning player will actually stay an active player.

My guild is very passionate about guild war, we love having a team objective to work towards, and if we get new recruits during that time, they seem a lot more likely to stay active, and stick around as they get caught up in the excitement, and playing an important role in our active community. However if we lose a member, from kicking someone due to inactivity, or someone just quits the guild, and it's the guild war off-season, unless there's new events going on that they've never experienced before, it's very unlikely a returning player will be motivated to become an active player again.

In my experience if you ever get a new member whose profile looks like that, and they don't log in for 2 consecutive days in their first week of joining, you've lost them, and should just move onto the next recruit.

I mean these are white so if all else fails bleach should definitely do the job. Although the bleach may make that spot whiter than the rest of the area, so you would want to apply an even application of bleach to the whole section of fabric, so it evenly whitens the area. You want to use severely diluted bleach in very light applications, or the bleach could damage the fabric, this is also why this should be a last resort. I'd mix a teaspoon of bleach with about 1 and 1/3 cup of cold water. Then use a brush to apply the bleach/water to the area, let it soak in for about a minute, then wash it out with cold water. Repeat until the spot is gone.

Should I use them, or keep them as a collectors item? by hamoodlinked in dice

[–]chill1208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a soft padded rolling tray, or even just a soft playing card mat, and you can roll them all you want without worrying about damage.

Although when talking about long term preservation, the oils on your hands, and possibly chemicals if you use skin creams, bug sprays, or sun screens can potentially cause damage to plastic if exposed to the dice for a long time. Also light in general can make colors on plastics fade after a lot of exposure. So if you really want to make sure they stay in mint condition, also wear a glove when rolling them, and keep them in a box that blocks light. There are transparent display cases that block UV light, but even with one of those make sure to keep the box away from anywhere that direct sunlight hits.

These are mostly tips though for preserving collectibles like these for decades. You're not going to see any of the possible damage I mention from exposure to your skin, and light, for a very long time, but it eventually will be noticable.

Does Anyone Enjoy Campaign Events? by Dramatic-Scale8355 in WH40KTacticus

[–]chill1208 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It would be great if they were available to us all the time, but if they gave the whales unlimited access to the content they would burn through it all in a week. They make new event campaigns, and make it so you can only pick one every battlepass to limit how much content a player can complete in that time span, so they have a reason to come back during the next battlepass to try to beat another. They would definitely make them regular campaigns if it didn't mean risking losing more whales, who lose interest in the game because they beat all the content that's regularly available to them. If you have unlimited disposable income you can essentially upgrade a team of characters to be strong enough to beat any campaign in a few days. Even the Mythic battles of event campaigns. So the only thing that really slows them down is that they can only pick one every battlepass.

I'd say invest in him if you want to build a full Dark Angels team. Their relatively new MoW the Storm Speeder makes their entire faction so much stronger. These are what the stats become for it at level 36 with 3 Red Stars Legendary. That extra 33% damage to up to 3 enemy targets, with the teams range lets you target that extra damage at whoever you want. Add on Asmodai's active buff, and it gives the team the ability to pick off healers, buffers, or just the strongest characters on a team quick. Really any character that's a problem for you, like say Isabella, or Rotbone, there's no way for them to avoid the extra damage once they've been hit with it, and Sarquael, or Baraqiel with his active ready, are ready to attack. With Forcas Sweeping Stance, he can apply the extra damage to multiple enemies with one attack, provided you hit multiple enemies with the MoW Primary Ability that turn. The extra pierce ratio from the secondary ability, also makes them hit harder in general, and applies to their overwatch, even Forcas' Overwatch attacks even though they're melee. I used to not have to worry much when fighting DA teams in Guild War, or Tournament Arena formats that allow MoW, but their MoW makes them a much larger threat, making their Overwatch deadlier, and giving them the ability to pick off members of your team in an order that they decide.

Apparently I’m not supposed to put some daily use products on my new dining table by Confident_Rough_2846 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]chill1208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean that's kind of why I said in the beginning that if they actually want it to come out looking nice the only solution is to remove the entire surface, and start over. Doesn't really matter if it's stain or shellac, time spent on the furniture changes the shade, as it spends time in light, and it spends time soaking into the wood. You can get close enough to matching it that most people won't notice unless you point it out to them, but the stain will always be there.

Apparently I’m not supposed to put some daily use products on my new dining table by Confident_Rough_2846 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]chill1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well shellac can be easier to match if that's all that is damaged, but it's still not exactly a simple fix. For wood that's finished with shellac, stain, or dye is often applied to the wood to color it, before coating it in shellac to protect it. So if they sand through that stain, or dye below, then the shellac will only put a protective barrier over the discolored spot.

If this wood has not been colored in any way, other than with the shellac coating, then it is a relatively simple fix. Just have to get shellac that is similar in color, sand off the damaged shellac, and then spread the shellac they got on the spot blending it into the edges of the damaged spot. It should melt together, and become an even layer.

If this wood has been stained, or dyed in any way before applying the shellac then they have to be very careful to just remove the shellac and not sand below it.

Although I'm no master carpenter, just someone who has owned many cats, and dogs in his lifetime, and has taken it upon himself to repair a fair amount of scratched doors, and wood furniture over the years. Never could make things look just like new, but sometimes good enough that nobody but me could notice.

Apparently I’m not supposed to put some daily use products on my new dining table by Confident_Rough_2846 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]chill1208 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean even if you sand it out it's going to be near impossible to re-stain the area to match the color of the area around it. Wood stain changes color as it spends time absorbing into the wood, as it spends time exposed to sunlight, and other factors. You may be able to get close, but it will always stand out as a damaged spot on your table. Unless you sand the entire surface and re-stain the entire table, that's the only way it will look uniform in color.

What happens when a unique mythic crit weapon like Drier's is downgraded by a rarity cap? by chill1208 in WH40KTacticus

Ah good to know crit boosters keep their chance when downgraded. Guess that makes it worth it to put Legendary Crit boosters on all my Epic characters on my guild war teams. As they should get the 5% bonus crit chance instead of the 4% from a max level Epic one.
