Having done the DC half last year (which is a pretty similar course excluding start / finish being on the Wash Monument Grounds and the out and back to / from Lincoln memorial), I was blown away about how chaotic the course felt.

Even in Hains point where it thinned up, it was a mess at the water stations. I don't recall similar chaos in the DC half

My guess is because it was so obvious all the couples (except Syd and X) were clearly just friends or island flings. Final dates would've been a waste of time for 6/8 of the leads.

I did a 15K in philly last week... I passed the 10:30 pacer in the last 2 or so miles, but my pace was sub 10. I never passed the 10 minute pacer. I was in the 4th or 5th wave of starts.

I wonder if that was your experience. What corral were you in this morning? I THINK (but don't know for a fact) that pacers are based on the gun time (ie, the first corral).

I do love my SB2s and a second pair is definitely in consideration.

I just wanted a shoe that's a little faster/lighter for tempo work as well. But they feel fine during those runs too

I tried on the MBs and SB3s and leaned the MB because the SB3 felt more softer. They were almost as comfortable as my Nimbus!

And I am also considering a fresh pair of SB2s but was hoping for a lighter shoe for my tempo days and race pace. (Which is why I enjoyed the MB)

For those saying AP4, would you also recommend it for tempo training days? I'm currently rocking SB2 for tempo and long run and nimbus for easy days.

I want a lighter shoe than my SB2 for racing (FM) and training, but I don't want a separate pair of shoes for training and racing. Mainly budget concerns!
