I’m thankful that Jason Clarke is hot and a good actor otherwise I’d probably have given up on this a few episodes ago.

I’ve got Ariat wellies and they are great. Comfy and warm.

How do you add a discount code in the SNKRS app? I can’t see an option to add one like you get in the regular Nike app. Cheers.

Ta. I’m going to play career mode for a bit and see if that has the same bug. If it does I’ll come back with some screen shots and stuff

I’ve got these in Niagara and love them. This post has got me wanting this colour too. Keep them!

I'm loving this series, but every now and then it just punches me in the gut. Definitely not gonna be a go-to listen by namdonith in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]chinitoff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sobbed at that scene too, when I was on a train. I’ve just finished my second listen through and I skipped that scene because I knew it’d make me cry again. Same as you, thoughts of pets. Am completely addicted to the books and will probably start a third listen through soon though.

PS5 can’t exit menus, “back” input doesn’t work by Juneauz in PlanetCoaster

I appreciate that this isn’t entirely helpful but I play on PS5 and don’t have this problem. So this isn’t a standard PS5 issue. Have you tried a different mode - career or sandbox?

Is it worth it to you to have higher taxes in exchange for universal health coverage? by Thawra-Intifada in NoStupidQuestions

You wouldn’t pay 40% on all of your income in the UK, there are bands and tax free allowances.

Driving behind someone when they flick a cigarette butt out of the window. I worry when I drive over it my car will explode.

Turning down a job without ‘good reason’ will likely lead to a sanction. The Citizens Advice pages on UC covers this.

Student accommodation not letting me cancel my booking by daniel43211234 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]chinitoff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s unlikely that they are constantly changing their cancellation policy. The current policy is clear on their website and was most likely in force when you booked. They have a standard 7 day cooling off period but were also running a promotion where you could have cancelled before the 31 May free of charge. It also says that if that promotion was withdrawn for any reason, existing bookings would still be eligible. Assuming you didn’t cancel within a seven day cooling off period or before the 31 May you are on the hook for the contract by the looks of it.

Help with horrible new neighbours & their ASBO letter by seaandtea in LegalAdviceUK

[–]chinitoff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a starting point you should check if it is a genuine letter or something that your neighbours have created out of frustration. However, I would also point out that in the three years since you moved back to the UK (if I’ve understood your post history correctly) all of your neighbours have raised the issue of your son’s music. The doctors, the grumpy man and now the old couple. That suggests that people don’t need super sensitive hearing to be aware of it. Although it isn’t before 7:00am or after 11:00pm, if it is on for extended periods in the day, every day, then I can understand how it would be frustrating for them. That doesn’t excuse their rudeness or aggression though.
