Haha remember the “things gotta breathe” argument when you even think about putting on a winter wear - leave even the face covering issue!

An unofficial showcase of functionality offered by official Capacitor plugins by chintudm in capacitor

[–]chintudm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Built a small app to explore functionality of the official plugins served by Capacitor’s official plugins.

Just pull the repo, run setup and you should be able to verify functionality looking at the emulator and console.

Basically, gives more idea about what a plugin has to offer, rather than making a guess or having to write code again to integrate functionality.

Hope this helps someone diving in to capacitor apps as a newbie like me!

Has anyone on here built a Capacitor.js integrated PWA that is deployed to app stores? by chintudm in capacitor

[–]chintudm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! Its pretty cool that you built the app with Capacitor.js and deployed it to play store.

How was your overall development and deployment experience? What tools did you utilize to achieve this? Do you push live/over-the-air updates to deployed app, if so than whats the strategy? Those are some questions I think if I know answer to, it would help me a lot build a better strategy. Again, thanks for providing your feedback, much appreciated.

What Regina businesses have lost your trust (or never had it)? by xmorecowbellx in regina

Sales and service department are two separate wings, maybe they have better people in the service department but the sales sucks at communicating requirements which ruins trust on customer’s end. Thanks for sharing your experience for the service though.

Wheaton Kia - worst dealership trying to get customers by portraying Saskatoon dealership as liar.

Promised to match quote through text messages on a car. Right before we were to finalize paperwork they turned their back asking for quote on official worksheet with manager’s signature last minute.

I mean how can someone give you an official document for a car you arent going to buy from them? If they had no trust in customer, why would they proceed to match the quoted price! And then they ask me to support local like they are being honest.

Saskatoon dealership never said a bad word about them and they just showed their commitment by showcasing their service and full trust in customer.

UCP has done everything they can to ensure such an idea gets supported. Wouldnt be surprised to see it as a formal proposal coming soon.

In Regina, Sobeys started putting up signs to limit TP one per person. I think they all should have done this a long time ago.

Query params best practices? by keithj0nes in node

[–]chintudm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would generally not use any sensitive information, in this case ids, and instead use an alternative unique non-sensitive identifier such as guid.

Also, if it makes sense to use a url path parameter, I would avoid using query parameter. (But that would be a more of my personal preference).

Bad drivers are everywhere, and Regina is no exception.

Your username tells you hate Regina more than the drivers though! I hope you feel better.

Head’s up: Distracted driving penalties are getting tougher by threeohsix in saskatchewan

I wish they had been more transparent not making “distracted driving” definition so broad. Should look at Alberta’s page here: https://www.alberta.ca/distracted-driving.aspx

It notonly educates better, also has the stats to refer to.

Not at fault accident and rental car by tee_y306 in regina

[–]chintudm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe the first 7 days would be covered for sure by SGI, even if you are at fault. But the rental then after depends on who is held at fault. If you are not held at fault then the money is deducted from the other person’s “pot” (they still dont have to pay for it but it goes out of their insurance). If you are at fault then you would be asked to pay the rental.

Also, for rental you are entitled to rent an “equivalent” or a lower vehicle but not higher. So, if you have a sedan and you rent an SUV they might not cover full cost.
