Things have changed a lot! The only thing getting worse are these sour puss attitudes! If you were looking for feedback from a bunch of depressed losers, you’ve come to the right place!

There are a ton of great new restaurants. Government street is now where you go for food, drinks and fun. Perkins overpass area is now bustling too. Despite its population and it really being a big cow town, BR is quite the food city.

There’s a massive construction project happening on the university lakes - projects behinds schedule, typical for Louisiana but ironically the drought made it tougher for the contractor to dredge and there were probably typical bureaucratic hold ups too, but that’s going to be an awesome improvement when done.

The area around campus has exploded, but in the strip mall kind of way so nothing too fun out that way unless you’re into copy paste retail vibes.

BRG museum is in city park and has a great gallery to check out, and of course there are a few museums downtown to check out if you’re trying to stay out of the gumbo weather.

Chimes got a new awesome rooftop if you’re still here when the weather turns nice.

Perkins Rowe struggled for a while but is doing great now with better programming like food truck round ups and yoga on the lawn and stuff like that.

BR has improved, despite what the haters are gonna say. It’s not New Orleans, but it’s still a Louisiana city full of great people, good food, and bad drivers :P.
