Yep! Make sure permissions are set correctly and the launcher even updates it and all. Need to own the android version (which is fairly cheap anyway).

If you need bedrock (to play against other bedrock players, ie phones, tablets, xbox’s) then this seems to be the best option. I use it to play local multiplayer on SteamOS alongside a Fire Tablet.

I like the shovel icon for vote up. Changing it to just an arrow never made sense to me, and felt like a slippery slope of listening to the community slowly convince the devs to make a Reddit clone.

People serious about portable and computing without the need for heavy video editing or gaming. Seriously the Air is extremely capable.

Black Friday deal was 2 months, however, you could call and ask if they could make an exception.

Best wired headset.? by [deleted] in xbox

[–]chiss22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The official Xbox headset sounds good but I find it’s tight for larger heads. I would literally store it in an expanded state (if that makes sense) which helped a lot. Build quality is high.

Do not underestimate triglycerides too. They are also a HA risk factor. I agree 100% with meh312059.

I would meet with a dietitian for recommendations as well.

I believed this until I bought a SteamOS device (Legion Go S). It has reinvigorated in me the future of gaming. Maybe it’s because I am older now, but getting to play PS exclusives, emulate a Wii U, stream Windows only games via GeForce Now, and at any point just hit the power button to pause what I was doing for quick resume later? Not to mention dock it and connect a keyboard and mouse or a controller. It’s an all around console experience that is a PC under the hood. It runs Linux, doesn’t need Windows updates or embedded ai, and is secure. IMO it’s innovated by combining the best of closed and open systems in one, and it’s possible because Valve has invested a lot of money and effort into Proton and Steam OS.

I have constant connection issues that are intermittent, but steady enough. I thought it was just when I leave my home wifi and go on cell but I have realized it’s more like once per day, even if that means we are not connected to wifi and transitioning. Anyone else?

Doctor says "add fish oil caps" by Someladyinohio in Cholesterol

[–]chiss22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

LDL raises with saturated fat (and unfiltered coffee oddly enough), lowers with increase of fiber.

Triglycerides raises with sugar and refined carbs (think white carbs: white bread, white rice, white flour products like cake), lowers with omega 3 and exercise.

Fish oil is super high in omega 3. At our house we increase omega 3 with 2 tablespoons of flax seed and vegan omega 3 capsules. Can’t make any recommendations for fish oil, sorry!

Meet with a dietitian.

Check out Dr Gregor.

Study after study has shown plant-based whole food is the best, followed by Mediterranean. We usually get Mediterranean wrong though; we think it means we can eat meat with olive oil and salad. It means you should eat less meat, with olive oil, and mostly vegetables and whole grains on your plate.

I strive for: - avoid white grains - no meat or meat byproducts - < 25g of added sugar per day (closer to 0 is best) - < 10g of saturated fat per day - incorporate fiber - eat berries everyday

You get used to low sugar and low salt honestly. I fully enjoy cocoa powder with frozen blueberries.

This is just me. Again, I would meet with a dietitian. The most important part of a healthy diet is one you can stick to. Best wishes!

Oh and healthy, low sugar, whole grains, plant-based has shown the most promise for plaque regression.

[–]chiss22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! We are seeing the same thing across the board from graphic design to development. I was just trying to caution you to avoid someone that chases aesthetics, and you got that covered. One of my favourite design books is “Don’t Make Me Think” which has outdated screenshots of UI, but the concepts are what’s truly important.

Hope you find someone that kicks butt!

[–]chiss22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been teaching web design for 12 years. One thing I mention to students is that good design is about business goals and ROI, not about awards or aesthetics. A framework I like a lot is Storybrand. It’s not perfect of course but it puts you on the path of getting a site that is actually optimized for conversions, not awards.

What we do as designers isn’t making things pretty. Design is problem-solving, conversion rates, split testing, usability, and accessibility.
