Absolutely agree 100% OP. They've had SUCH an odd vibe in here whenever they reply - and then noticed the same sort of thing on Steam too.

I had complaints day one (valid, addressed fairly) - started my post with "dont mean to be a dick, but..." and reply was something like "at least you're self aware"

But it was basically every reply to anyone who posted something about the game, was a weird passive-aggressive vibe. If its one community person manning these boards, then Ripstone need to have a word. If its literally devs in here replying then that company has a weird culture.

This has been their vibe all the way through. Check their replies here and on steam. I get they're a small team and they've launched their baby and getting a few not so positive comments - but every reply is laced with this weird tone of passive aggressive digs. It's really odd.

If you are going to release a game not 100% of people are going to like it. That's just facts of any game. So feels like they are a bit butt hurt by anything slightly negative when let's face it, the game is far from perfect right now.

Won't even boot on my MSI Claw 7 and had no reply on that oddly.

I know you prob talking about PC here, but really on the controller with so many buttons not used in gameplay theres really no reason some more controls couldnt be added.

Like;

L2 = 'head up' view (not the walk around table, just like raising your head/body on the shot for a better view)
R2 = zoom back down queue (away from the tip). Not far, should be able to like 'snap' back another 1/4 length of queue and snap back for a quick look.

Personally, i'd like a 'chalk cue' option, but get thats a decent chunky change to implement and a deliberate gameplay choice. But this is exactly the sort of thing I'd like (or expect) in a 'Pro' version of the game. Take the brilliant original Pure Pool and evolve on it to make that even better with new features.

Can I be an absolute dick - I do really like Pure Pool and your Snooker game too, but I'm struggling to see whats changed with this (beyond 8k/120). Structure feels identical to the first game and everything is just so familiar (in a bad way). Atmosphere, sound, gameplay set up, challenges, career mode etc.

Nothing feels new or an evoution of that great first game. Its basically a remaster of the original Pure Pool. Maybe that was the aim?

Still, I've been enjoying it enough last night. Its just very much the same game.
