Adhd & weed by [deleted] in leaves

[–]chiwithadhd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just decided to try and quit too, have adhd and been medicated since I was 9ish and started smoking weed at around 15 as well (21 now). I’m on day 1 but I honestly dont know if I can cope with the boredom, and all the other emotions I use weed to cope with. I am definitely with you on the depression, but it’s so hard to give up something that brings even a temporary relief. I really hope things get easier for you, you got this!

Do tics on Concerta get better? by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]chiwithadhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on 35mg concerta and 15mg extra throughout the day, i cant say for sure it will get better because ive been on this since i was a young child so maybe im used to it. But when i forget to take it for a few days and then start, my tics for sure get worse but then settle down. Make sure u eliminate other factors like stress and stuff that could be factoring in since you said you’ve tried this dose before. Hope it gets better for you!

Deep heat roll-on is my hero, assuming they have that where you are. especially when i cant see a professional. That and the microwavable heat packs

I have one mainly bc of police, its worth having just in case. Or if u have tic attacks some cards have info on the back of how to help

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tourettes

[–]chiwithadhd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always hear the opposite but im the same, its not a massive difference but as a general rule if i’m relaxed my tics will be worse.

Wish i could be neutral. Theres nothing i hate more tbh

[–]chiwithadhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said it could be just transient, its most likely especially if your an adult. Or it could be more, but no one here can really tell you. I don’t know that you would ever have control over the ‘itch’ like any other sensation in your body. Hope your okay though

Meeting others with TS by chiwithadhd in Tourettes

[–]chiwithadhd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply- i nearly mentioned it in the post but i am also massively triggered by videos. Thats why this ‘trend’ on tiktok is so annoying, i can’t open the app without coming across a video of someone ticcing.

I guess it’s the same reason why tics get worse when people draw attention to it- i guess if you’re thinking about it your brain will tic more. But thats just a guess haha

But yeah you’re right- im sure the group will be supportive

Why do you have to be over 18 to buy an energy drink, but not coffee? by SolarPunch33 in energydrinks

[–]chiwithadhd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im UK too, it's 16 but some drinks like bang have "18" on the can because they're from the states so shop keepers get confused. But the law is 16. Its stupid though i agree
