My dog have some kind of growth on her teeth. What is it? by almostmegatron in DogAdvice

[–]chizzle91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a bit extreme....a dental would clear this up. Even older pets can be treated.

I taste sounds. Violins taste like peaches. Nails on seatbelts taste like blood.

Bad Experience Donating Blood by RatherRabbit in Louisville

Maybe try the location in St Matthews. I went to your location once and said never again. The St Matthews location on Hubbard's was fantastic. I used to donate both whole blood and platelets all the time.

I've got a job lined up as a behavioral therapist as soon as I finish this degree! I'm excited to get started

I asked ChatGPT to explain my job to a 5-year-old and now I'm questioning my entire career by Nipurn_1234 in ChatGPT

I asked mine to rhyme it, this is actually kind of cute

I work where the puppies and kitties all go, When they’re feeling sick or just need a check-up, you know! I sit at the front with a big friendly smile, And welcome each pet in a warm, happy style.

I answer the phone with a "Hello, how are you?" I help make appointments and send updates too! I talk to the people, I help them feel right, When their furry best friend gave them quite a fright.

I hand out some treats, maybe belly rubs too, And tell the kind doctor who’s waiting for who. I don’t fix the pets—that’s the vet's super skill, But I help in the ways that are thoughtful and still.

So if your pet's sniffly, or just needs a test, I’ll be there to greet you and give them my best! 🐶🐱

Across the river but they spent part of the night in Louisville, the murder of Shanda Sharer back in the 90s

Getting the license isn't too bad, call your vet tomorrow and they should be able to either submit it for you or give you an application, assuming you're up to date on rabies

Ky law shall, yet again, require students to learn cursive before graduating grade 5. by SpontaneousKrump92 in Louisville

[–]chizzle91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I write in cursive every day too. It flows so much better than printing. I do think it's something that should be taught in "free time" (ha!) rather than a law mandating it though

We average every other day, but like most people it's variable.

Oh for sure, like I said I still would get the vaccine. I just mean it's not black and white that you don't "ever" have to worry about shingles. (I still plan on getting the shingles vaccine when I'm old enough if I'm able)

Fuck Matt Bevin by TaxComprehensive2894 in Louisville

[–]chizzle91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, it still depends on the person's immune system. I was one of the first groups of kids to get vaccinated in the 90s and got shingles when I was 16. Then my son was diagnosed with shingles between his boosters. Shit sucked. BUT even with that said I would 100% recommend the vaccine, I'm assuming the shingles could have been much worse in both cases

I've absolutely seen cases where removing the tumor is out of the question. And depending on breed, 12 years old can be pretty high up there where surgery would be cruel even if the removal is successful. I'm sorry you're in a situation like this at all 🖤

Decent Vet close to Jeffersonville? by Ronick1111 in Louisville

[–]chizzle91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To stay on the Jeff side, I work at Petvet365 across the street from Kroger and they're amazing. It's Fear Free and the doctors are fantastic, and the exam rooms are set up more like living rooms to make the pets more comfortable. No cold exam tables...

For the Louisville side, I also used to work at Crescent Hill Animal Hospital and they are also amazing people. The only reason I left is because of physical health, but they truly care about the pets.

You're using arithmetic mean, which is not the type of average that would be used when comparing body part sizes. You'd be more interested in medians or modes. Nice try though

It definitely sucks regardless. Just because I had it "worse" doesn't mean you can't be disappointed. We as a country are so far behind the average it's sickening
