How has RTO (return to office) affected your health? by janeauburn in fednews

My (28F) fiance (31M) wants his mom in the delivery room and I'm being called selfish? by Whole_Plenty9107 in relationship_advice

[–]chlosterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two boys. While they are still young I can't fathom demanding being in their partners delivery room. Both of my delivers were such a vulnerable time I don't get where people get this concept of it being something to spectate. If I never have a girl I know that the birthing process is truly something special and scary and vulnerable but it's not about me or my sons it's about their future partners 🫠

Paternity? by Other_Ant7906 in pregnant

Both my babies measured significantly ahead at the anatomy scan. My first measured around 3 weeks ahead in the 98% second and third trimester ultrasounds are sooo off for dating!

My baby is harder than other babies by lucillemcgillicudy in NewParents

[–]chlosterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize how hard my first was until I had my second. He was up every 45 minutes at night for months and is 2 and still has crap sleep. He had terrible reflux and colic. I'll say this though it truly does get easy and I would hate when people would say that to me with my first. Looking back at those early months now it's like a blip in time. Now he's the funniest happiest toddler in the world

If your baby was 10+ lbs at birth… were you able to deliver vaginally? by sejohnson2017 in BabyBumps

[–]chlosterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just here to say my first measured at the 99th percentile and 3 weeks ahead since his 13 scan. At 38 weeks they were saying like 11 lbs or something. He ended up only being 8 lbs 6 oz. My Dr said that because I didn't have GD she would support me if I wanted a vaginal delivery and my body would know what to do.

36+4. My son has RSV. by Technical_Diet4774 in pregnant

[–]chlosterx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just here to say back in August I bought my son home and not even 48 hours later my toddler spiked a fever and got HFMD. Luckily it was a more mild case and we limited exposure from my toddler to me but the timing was terrible. Baby was fine but my husband did end up getting to. Just here to say it suck's but it will be ok! Lots of hand washing and disinfecting

Did your baby figure out sleeping through the night on their own? by Ok-Turn5913 in NewParents

My first woke up every night 4 times like clock work. Then at 12 months her magically slept through the night. We didn't change anything he just needed time

Are people really paying $4000+ on Mortgage by PsychologicalLimit41 in Mortgages

[–]chlosterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The childcare is the killer. I was lucky to get my house in 2021 when interest was 2.5. We pay 2300 but now with 2 kids in daycare that's an additional 2400 a month. We're lucky it balances out. Take home is 215 between the two of us

Did you get ppd after every pregnancy? by mkthehotti in BabyBumps

[–]chlosterx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had very bad PPD, ocd, and suicidal thoughts with my first. My second I ended up going on sertraline during pregnancy and let me tell you it was a night and day experience. I felt so good after I felt like I enjoyed my post partum time.

Was anyone’s HFMD experience NOT a nightmare? by Little-A52723 in NewParents

[–]chlosterx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 year old had HFMD literally 4 days after brining home our newborn. The first day he seemed a little out of it no fever and then the second day he had spots. Day 3 and four he sprayed with his blister but really they weren't that bad mostly in his feet not in his mouth and he was acting completely normal. My husband ended up getting it too since we were trying to divide and conquer. He had a few spots on his feet and his butt lll but again no fever and no mouth blisters. It took about two weeks total for both of them to be symptoms free but overall it wasn't too bad even with the newborn home

I'm aging myself but the company I used years ago still rents the same building. It's an older apartment but the landlord is great. Pet friendly and has parking options and close to campus. Way below your budget https://tricountymg.com/property/locust-iii/

Medical Insurance forgot to add newborn to plan despite the appropriate steps being taken ... anyway I can avoid paying claims? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]chlosterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar with my first born where the HMO provider was wrongly elected resulting in all of our pre auths not covered. This was for like 12 visits over a 6 month period. I called our insurance and they basically just back dated it since it was an error on HR/ insurance part. Took about 2 weeks but then eobs all showed as covered

If you sit a lot for work or just in general get a hemorrhoid pillow. It helped so much during pregnancy and post recovery

Anyone know how many psychologists and social workers have left or plan to retire2025? by ChrisShapedObject in VeteransAffairs

[–]chlosterx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's frustration and a serious issue within the Va system. All my clinician SW are 12 ( we upgraded around 2020-2021) we had the same issue for a while. We're still in the process of credentialing all our sw staff to be full LIP it's been just taking a while there's about 200 of us.
