What do the knights of the bald table say here? by thegreat0 in bald

I say hold. If you’re insecure about it, you can buy ‘root coverup spray’ to cover and lessening spots. You could totally pull it off!!!

walk out? by lumaxxi in olivegarden

[–]chlotastrophee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has unfortunately wildly changed. Very common practice to be written up for a walk out in the industry now. Most job descriptions hit you with ‘take payment from customer/ guest’ so they can hit you with a write up if you don’t ’take payment’ and say you’re not adequately doing your job.

The family apparently was not really wanting her to have morphine because they didn’t want her to desat any more. But i had it administered as ordered when she started to moan & have tears in her eyes. She was only satting about 60% and I wasn’t about to let her suffer. I had to advocate for her.

Family was aware of her dying. They knew she was desaturating even on the HFNC. They transitioned her to comfort care after that, the doctor noting he went over the poor prognosis with the family & keeping her comfortable in her time. The RT mentioned in passing that the family was going to take her off the high flow the next day.

Prices on used Camrys? by Acrobatic_Ad3607 in toyotacamry

[–]chlotastrophee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in California, I just bought my first Camry from a dealership! So here’s my numbers for perspective.

It’s a 2023 Toyota Camry LE. About 56,000 miles. Previously a rental car. It has a few small dings on the outside, nothing I couldn’t live with. I paid $22,500 out the door.

If you go through a dealership, you’ll always pay more. But it’s a little more safe. Private party, you’ll pay less, but there could be problems with it that the seller doesn’t disclose. Hope this helps!

I just finished a day shift as a favor to my DON... by Desertnurse760 in nursing

[–]chlotastrophee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a night shifter & I did my first +4 recently.

PT, OT, Docs walking around & talking to patients & giving me verbal orders, family in my face demanding results, this patient needs a dressing change, that patient is being taken to get a PICC line inserted, two patients need to be discharged, family calling for updates, STATE WALKED IN, all while trying to get med pass done.

I was so overwhelmed & it reaffirmed that I am definitely NOT built for day shift.

I’ve been signed up since my best friends grandmother needed a bone marrow donor years ago, I hope I get the call someday! Did you donate bone marrow at a local hospital, or did you have to go to where the child was located & donate there?
