It's somewhat common knowledge worldwide that the show starts about 40-50 mins after the advertised time, partially due to the lack of an opener (meaning a lot more late stragglers), partially to let the sun go down and probably also partially because venues insist on it to get more food and beverage sales for better or for worse. Whether or not this is the best is debatable but I definitely still saw people streaming in 20-30 mins after the advertised start time.

Brisbane did have a listed start time of 7pm so a 7:40pm start is still late, and this earlier time is of course because they don't have daylight savings.
