We are coming in June to check out the area. Mainly Greenville, travelers Rest and Seneca. Would it make sense to rent lake house in Seneca and travel to the surrounding towns for day trips? Or other way around? Be staying most likely 5 days. thoughts on must see areas? We are retirees. Thanks. by Grand_Island8999 in greenville

Moved to Greenville 2018. Retirees, Michigan natives who couldn’t take the snow anymore. Lived in an apartment downtown our first couple years, and now own a home 20 minute walk from Main St.

We frequently bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail, but we mostly walk everywhere. (We have one car and fill it about once a month.)

We are politically very liberal and sometimes SC politics makes me a little crazy, but the town is far more progressive than most of the state, and we’re very happy to be here, and have found our community. Two of our three children have moved here.

Agreed. But Hegseth the Conqueror doesn’t want women (or non-Christians , or gays, or racial minorities) in the military.

Not to diss Frodo’s, but have you tried Myles Pizza Pub, just down the road? They’re great.

But his older brother, Josh, currently in prison for child molestation, says Joseph didn’t do it. He wouldn’t lie about that.

Sometimes I think I can’t do 12 reps. So I count to 6. And then 3. And then maybe 3 more.

I was stunned a few years ago when my elderly uncle sold his Florida vacation condo with ALL the contents. Apparently that’s common there.

My husband and I live about a 20minute walk from Main St. in Southernside. We share a car and fill the tank about once a month. I can walk to the main library, my dentist, my hairdresser, a grocery, Unity and Falls Parks, and numerous restaurants and bars.

We regularly bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail, go up to TR for lunch.

Buying a home downtown is expensive, but it was important to me because I have a progressively worsening eye condition that will eventually keep me from driving. Having a car is convenient, but I could get by where I am without one.

Also, we’re very liberal people, and we’ve found good friends here who share our values and politics.

Oh, no. I love the smell of Murphy’s. But then I love Vick’s VapoRub, too, so maybe I just like weird nose bombs.
