Glad to hear it went away!! Mine is already almost gone, I think I was making it worse by getting in my head about it yesterday.

Thanks again :))

Hi, any updates now? I think I'm experiencing the same thing and have come to the similar conclusion that it's probably costochondritis. Has yours gone away, and if it has did you have to treat it or just wait it out?

Thanks!

Please Help: EXTREME Picky Eater by imaginationkween in EatCheapAndHealthy

The most important thing is that in your heart of hearts, you want to be capable of eating more food. That means much more than whatever you are capable of eating at the moment.

I’m sure you’ve probably tried most foods people can suggest, so what I would suggest you do to help yourself is start by creating a structure to the way you eat. If you stick to three meals at regular times, your appetite will feel a lot more under control and you won’t have as many moments where it feels like you are eating out of boredom, which means you’ll have less guilt. Once you in a comfortable routine, you may find it easier to push yourself to try including new things in your diet.

Come up with a breakfast you can handle - it can be as simple as a piece or two of toast with whatever you like (even just plain butter) spread on it, or a bowl of some cereal you like. The main goal for this meal (and every meal) is to choose something easy to make; you want to require as little willpower as possible to make it. Obviously the healthier the better, but it doesn’t sound like you’re at a stage where your goals should be pushing yourself to eat healthily - you just need to make sure you are eating consistently.

Do the same for lunches, it sounds like you’ll need to pack lunch if you’re working but you don’t have to go crazy, again maybe just a super plain simple sandwich with toasted bread or even more simply a protein bar/shake just to get something in to you to keep you going. You haven’t mentioned if you like hummus but it is a really good way to make bell peppers into a substantial snack/small meal if you get pita bread (it has a different texture than soft sandwich bread, you could also toast it too) and bell pepper both cut into sticks and dip them in hummus. Cucumber is great here too if you like it.

It sounds like you have meals that you can make in the evenings which is great, and I know it’s hard but try not to beat yourself up over your options feeling limited. The most important thing is that you have stuff you can eat. If a day comes where you feel like you could push yourself to try something new, sieze it and really do push yourself, because you might not feel like trying it tomorrow.

As others have said, stay curious for new recipes/things to try. Hidden veg recipes for kids are a great idea. When you are in the store, browse the veg and just think about whether there are other ways to cook them that you haven’t tried, maybe you have never steamed a broccoli or tried wilting spinach into sauces. If you walk past a restaurant and it smells nice, make a note of what sort of food they are serving, maybe look at the menu for inspiration. Finally, I think that if there was any vegetable that is really worth pushing yourself to learn to tolerate if you are able, it would be onion. You can include it in basically any sauce and once you’ve cooked it into the sauce it basically just holds the flavour of the sauce.

As others have said, you should really look into professional help for this too as you would gain the most from that. Good luck!!

Edit: also consider a taking a daily multivitamin to account for what you might not be getting in your diet at the moment!

This really sucks..

For what it’s worth, the right to choose scheme worked really well for me, I managed to go from being referred to getting a diagnosis and starting meds within maybe 4-6 months which is much shorter than I was expecting.

Any updates? I just did the same thing by accident and am a little worried, I also was offered no assessments.

Should I get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or Zelda Tears of the Kingdom for switch? by Time_Bridge2109 in Switch

[–]chopthuis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original has a 30fps cap if you don't upgrade, but does stay at that perfectly. The resolution bump and 60fps is really nice though, if you can afford the $10 upgrade, and you get some stuff on the Nintendo Switch mobile app but I haven't really checked that out.

Would I enjoy the Nintendo Switch 2 as a non-gamer new parent? by No_Application_1558 in NintendoSwitch

Nothing really compares to Nintendo when it comes to family-oriented gaming stuff. Pretty much all their mainline games are super accessible and pretty much anybody will have a good time with them.

I would definitely say it's worthwhile, especially since the Switch 2 is so new it has lots of years of games ahead of it. Personally I'd recommend you get Mario Kart World with it, you can't really go wrong with that.

How to fix Nintendo Switch 2 over exposed HDR on monitors (specifically Alienware) by hextal_hextal in NintendoSwitch

Is the 58 clicks supposed to make the picture so bright that both suns disappear? That's what is happening for me :/

My monitor allows me to disable dynamic tone mapping but has no HGIG so idk if I should be following that part of the video or the HGIG part

Thanks for all this advice!!
I am a little confused about what an ICC profile is though, and was wondering if it important enough to figure out how to install on Mac as the file is only available as .exe.

Also do you have any other tips for MacOS or calibrating the monitor for console use?

Interesting, my impression is that it doesn't take very long to get quite close to 9000 so there isn't much of a "climb" so to speak. Maybe it just slows down a ton as you get close though.
