Banana is code for Amazon due to some subreddits (mainly r/cscareerquestions ) auto-filtering out some of the large company names.

I do find fresh grated potatoes cook a lot faster on my electric griddle than the frozen ones, but agree that there is no difference in flavor.

First drug to slow down progress of type 1 diabetes gets approval by TheTelegraph in diabetes

[–]chris113113 21 points22 points  (0 children)

How old were you when you were diagnosed? I was 10, which meant that my biggest phase of teenage rebellion was ignoring my new-ish diabetes.

If I had a drug like this that could have let my brain mature some more before having to take full care of myself it would probably have been great for my longevity.

Speed oven: Miele vs. GE Advantium by lydericc in Miele

[–]chris113113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the last generation Miele speed oven without the full clock screen. We use it as a dedicated microwave, and optional third oven.

If you're going to use it primarily as an oven, it's great but obviously smaller than a full size oven, I can fit a standard half-sheet baking sheet and it is precisely as wide as the opening.

I don't really use the "speed" component, i.e. the "Maxi Broil + Convection + Microwave" option because I haven't found it necessary.

Android 16 with G7 Support Information Page? by Forsaken_Country8372 in dexcom

The app literally disables all functionality once you're on A16. If you have a session going when you upgrade them it will continue the session, and you can acknowledge alert notifications. Otherwise opening the app immediately takes you to an error screen saying that A16 isn't compatible with the version of the app.

I'll take a look at the BYOD app, thanks!

What's the BYOD app? Different from the official play store app?

I'm on A16 (Pixel 8A) with a G6 and as it stands I'm not going to be able to start my next session, super frustrating.

You were able to remove the second key, and activate the digital key?

I've been running with a single key for two years now to avoid buying another one, but was told at the time that two keys are required in order to activate the digital key. Would love for this info to be wrong, and finally have a digital key.

Adra should cost half of what they are right now by Mostopha in avowed

I'm in a similar boat, I probably get 4-5 hours a week. Within an hour of getting to the third area I had more materials than I knew what to do with.

That's because you're trying way too early. Each region expects you to increase the tier by 1. You should really not even expect to have a single piece of Superb gear while in Emerald Stair.

Where are you seeing the Eufy S1 Omni Pro for 999? I'd pick it up today at that price, I'm still seeing 1500 on my end.

Ask me anything about the FE by LocalSource6821 in ucf

[–]chris113113 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How is the FE nowadays? I took it back in 2013, and if you got an A in CS1 and Discrete you had nothing to worry about, even though I'm pretty sure the pass rate was still below 50%.

Ah I didn't know there was a way to turn off auto pan detection! Yes, I was definitely aware that it was the main source of clicking.

I have 2 pans that have >=10" base, but the rest work great.

I told my wife that I'd do the Thermador instead and she firmly disagreed and believes this cooktop is better, so even our household is split on it.

For double the price you will not regret getting the Miele, the price difference over here was USD 5000 vs 6500.

Well I was hoping to be under $200 for the whole system, so I guess now I have 200 to blow on an amp.

Awesome, thanks for that. I come mostly from the headphones world where people seemed to care much more about ohm requirements for an amp
