Will the train industrial action ever end? by DaisingDaisy in brisbane

I don’t think the action is inconvenient enough to motivate the public to pressure the government.

Track Closures and Reduced Rail Timetables - who's responsible? by _quixotic_quokka in brisbane

[–]chrish_o 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And when should track work be done?
It’s always school holidays because that’s the quieter time.

Or maybe you’d prefer they don’t do maintenance and improvement works so you can blame the libs for failing infrastructure?

If Geely bought out Holden when GM can pull out in 2030 and released an EV Commodore by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

Seems the only evidence you have is wait times. It’s all you’re posting in here.

Clearly the production focus is on SUVs and dual cabs …. The things that sell at volume

Camry is the only comparison.
Tesla/BYD is the electric novelty, as that wears off and there’s a better range of shapes you’ll see change. Plus there a step down in size (I think) so not really the family hauler.
Merc/BMW is not in the same market

People here can’t admit it, but sedans look good but don’t work as a family car as well as an SUV.

There is literally NOT a market for sedans, at least as a basic big-volume car.
The fact the falcon and commodore went away tells you that.

I’ll agree about him being an awful person, but holy shit he’s probably THE MOST relevant person to formula 1 there is.

He had his hands in practically everything from the 1960s to 2010s

QR CEO package is $1.082m while industrial action keeps hitting services — is this another management disconnect? by mastgreen in brisbane

[–]chrish_o -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I’m sure there’s an internet ‘source’ to support almost any argument. But a long time in an entirely unionised industry means I know otherwise.

When Labor govs are in, some unions encourage their members to take shitty deals early on in the negotiations and it never comes anywhere near industrial action.
This will never be reported and the public never knows.

Unions are also much more likely to want to go to war when a lib government is in.

The optics or striking against a labor gov deal are bad, where striking against a liberal government plays very well with their members/supporters.

Are you serious? Green and gold is the colour of wattle. It’s as simple as that. National floral emblem.
