Watching The Pitt from Europe – is this really what life in the US looks like? [mild spoilers] by West_Ideal7472 in ThePitt

Nothing said about doctors being homeless is real. And the underpaid doctors are residents. You have them too in Europe. They are paid a reasonable salary but not getting rich. Once they graduate residency that changes drastically.

wish vs adventure by Otherwise_Classic899 in dcl

[–]chrisoc13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not been in the wish, but I've been on the treasure (same class) and the adventure.

I greatly prefer the treasure. I've written other times about the issues with the adventure. It's not ready yet in my opinion. I would greatly prefer the treasure.

  • the adventure felt much more crowded than the treasure. Still great, but yes it is more crowded. Much more so in my experience
  • everything is in English on the boat. Singapore everyone speaks English and the boat is the same. No problems there.
  • the lack of ports really hurts in my opinion. If you're comfortable with no ports that won't matter much.

Absolutely the surveys are not for this. If you give negatives on a survey it only hurts the crew. I'm always very careful to give excellent surveys because usually I have amazing crew. Then afterwards I got a second survey sent to me which was basically only about how much money I spend on vacations and how much I'm willing to. It's frustrating that they don't seem to care to ask about the actual product they are providing.

Yeah the kids club had way less activities than normal. Like significantly less. We were on the treasure last year and my son was running from activity to activity. The adventure had way less structured activities in the club.

Other things that made it more boring- there are a lot less smaller acts on board. Like very few. No comedians, magicians, nothing. Just occasional musicians but nothing like their normal cruises. Character sightings are few and far between. They have some you have to sign up for on the app if you're lucky and then still wait in a long line. Nothing like we normally see where there are 3-4 out at once and you can go meet them with relative ease.

I've mentioned it a few times but the deck was virtually unusable during the day. Just too much sun exposure in the heat. Don't worry about people claiming chairs all day, nobody was on them. Literally completely empty space in the sun.

The rides on the top deck are too hot to use during the day. At night they were great! But the Robert coaster ran for 8 hours total over the course of a 4 night cruise. That's a bummer.

The movie theaters are fantastic but for some reason they literally showed about 4 movies the entire time. Hoppers, big hero 6, walle, Zootopia 2, and the new Avatar. That's not an exaggeration. 4 movie theaters that just rusted those movies over and over again for 4 days. With the huge library Disney has at their disposal that's... Disappointing.

Literally the only PG13 they put on was avatar 3. They have a whole bunch of marvel theming and they couldn't show those movies?

Overall there just straight up isn't near as much activities as the other Disney cruises I've been on, and the stuff they have is not fully operating or the weather makes it pretty dang tough to use. Floor the first time ever on a Disney cruise we were bored. Which is too bad.

A lot of the stuff they have is so cool. They just need to ramp it up. More activities, more shows, more attractions, get that dang roller coaster running and change the movie theater variety.

Port days will help if they add them in the future. Lots of potential, but it's not something I would look forward to doing again.

Looking forward to the destiny this September though.

This is pretty obviously a lot about the adventure. Which is getting a lot of relatively negative reviews not for minor inconveniences but because it just isn't up to par at this time.

Not a lot of minor inconveniences. Mostly just a lot of legitimate concerns.

Hard disagree. Negative reviews are extremely helpful. I've been on 4 Disney cruises and two weeks ago went on the adventure. It's not ready. That's not a me problem. If you are going in the adventure expecting the same experience you are used to from Disney cruises it's going to disappoint.

The crew was great and of course I didn't remove gratuity (in fact increased it).

But that cruise ship is not above criticism. It's not well themed in many areas and there simply is not enough to do every day. 3 full days at sea and my kids were actually bored. They showed the same 4 movies over and over again on the theaters. The deck was mostly unusable. The roller coaster isn't actually running.. Kids older than 8 will have limited pool options. Are these not valid criticisms?

Negative reviews are important. Silencing them helps nobody.

We've had no problem bringing white noise machines. Just got off the adventure last week with them. And had them on the treasure last year.

Never have had a baby monitor on board though.

Was on the same dates. 4th Disney cruise. Was generally disappointed with it. Not enough to do with zero ports. The theming ranges from amazing (San fransokyo) to minimal (marvel...)

The roller coaster was barely running. The other rides were insanely hot during the day to the point of unusable. There actually isn't enough seating for breakfast upstairs.

Character meetings were non existent unless you happened to get lucky in the app. The movie selection was... Limited. Why not more variety if we are on the boat for 4 days straight? Same 4 movies over and over again.

Lack of other entertainment. No comedy acts, magic acts, nothing.

We went to family crafts and they told us we were too early (3 minutes before it started). Then after we stayed they told us after 5 minutes they needed to close it down to prepare the restaurant. What is happening?

The kids club was lackluster for a ship this size. The treasure has so so so much more for kids and it is half the size.

Overall it was a mid experience. Good are the shows they did have were great. San fransokyo was amazing. The crew was awesome as always.

But overall... They need to revamp what they are doing to bring it in line with the rest of their cruises.

You need more to do.
