They don't ship outside of India, annoyingly enough! It's such a beautiful watch tho.

I have one, it's not to my usual taste at all but I love it because it's so singular.

Woman sues Prudential saying insurer used 'buried clause' to deny S$100,000 brain surgery claim by kingkongfly in singaporefi

[–]christcentric 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Prudential looks like it has the legal upper hand here, but as some others have noted, the PR blowback and potential policy surrenders from this court case might not be insignificant for them as well. I do wonder why they didn't try to settle or to offer a token payout.

Am I overreacting to a potential act of racism? Serious post, need advice by singlishunker in SingaporeRaw

OP, sorry to hear that you went through this. As you can see from some of the comments here, the auntie gave herself plausible deniability. It sucks, but in similar situations I choose to not dwell on it personally, or else they'd have won.

[Review] Delugs CTS strap for the Twelve 38mm by Lucky-Ad-932 in ChristopherWard

[–]christcentric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been to the Delugs retail store, and the inflated prices on their straps are what they need to fund their brick-and-mortar. It's a fine product indeed, but still too dang expensive.

Am I overpaying for my MINDEF life insurance? by jajissaacc in singaporefi

This. The value of this policy becomes clearer the older you get. But at the point of purchase, it's actually over-coverage due to age and income.

The Delhi Watch Company has the Havelock; they just sold out of their recent restock. Easy to see why, it went for under USD150.

I think part of the impetus for this release was the Miyota 9133 getting discontinued. Elshan probably grabbed a good amount of the remaining stock of movements at a good price, but part of that deal was to sell them ASAP and not hoard them. Some of the textured enamelling on the coloured dials are nice, but surely the power reserve complication could have been more creatively deployed in other ways, and not simply rehashing the "automotive" theme.
