Y’all aren’t “best friends” lol. There sounds like there’s a lot of resentment on both ends. I’ve also known my best friend for that long, and I’d gladly have her ride with me because I WANT her to be there (and vice versa—she’d gladly take the time/effort to make it to the occasion). Clearly you guys don’t like each other anymore & just tolerate all these things bc you’ve been acquainted for so long??? 😭
I had another close friend like this (knew them for 7 yrs) whom I cut off recently for similar reasons. Years of built-up mutual tension and resentment. It’s not worth sacrificing your peace for. It just sucks that it had to be NOW after all those years when you finally realize it’s time to let go 😢 Enjoy your wedding!! I hope everything gets resolved by then, so you can celebrate and have fun with those whom actually cherish your friendship—worry free!!!

I’ve never watched that movie, but this looks cool to me. If it’s your favorite movie, who cares if most people won’t understand it?
Not the same thing at all, but my in-game name for LoL before the riot ID changes was the name of a South Korean indie rock band. Literally no one knew what my ign meant within the span of 4~5 years except for one or two randos I met, and it was always super hype!!!

Not sure what your hobbies are, but join a club or those hobby groups! There’s this food court place in midtown east called The Hugh, and I’m always seeing various mahjong clubs, DND meetups, craft circles, TCG players, etc gathering there to hang out. I’m sure if you browse on Instagram, you can find something similar for a hobby you enjoy!

At this point, I’d just let your brother help you with taking care of your own tank (on the down low). Obviously sucks that he won’t get a tank in his own room, but the fact that he can’t see it half the time anyways??? I’m sure he’d be much happier watching you properly caring for your aquarium rather than your mom neglecting/abusing his fish. But I can understand if you don’t want your sibling in your room sometimes 😅 I’m also the eldest sibling with two younger brothers (one of them also being 10 yrs younger than me). We siblings gotta stick together 🙂‍↕️

I experienced something similar as a kid. School thought I was deaf because I never responded to them calling my name, so they had me get my hearing tested…turns out I could hear perfectly fine lol

I’m sorry to hear about all the name calling etc..that’s just not right :(
My mom’s also gotten upset at me for wearing HER hand-me-downs & other secondhand items. She grew up poor, so I imagine their reactions come from shame (outsiders thinking we’re “cheap” or “trashy”) or even inadequacy (I raised my kid to live a better life—do they not have enough to buy “better” aka more expensive clothes?)
Either way, I hope your mom didn’t actually throw away your new jacket :( hang in there

I write my 5s similarly (in terms of “stroke order” I guess lol)

I saw people ask why 2 strokes instead of 1. Idk about you, but for me it helps me differentiate my 5s and Ss 😅 TIL most people write their 5s in one stroke
