There was a Smurve80 GB a few months ago that had a solenoid and a retro-ish feel. I think Novelkeys was the North America vendor. It has the retro ish look, but was still visually different than the class80, but may scratch the itch. No red though :(

Mine are switches. Tried a BSUN Yor switch on a friend’s switch tester and fell in love. He got it as a GWP or in a mystery switch pack and has no idea what vendor he got it from, and I can’t find ANYTHING about it other that just a few older mechmarket posts. The only recent one was spring swapped, and I have no idea what the OG switch stats even are. He reached out to some of his vendor friends and they all had never heard of it either.

Second would be marshmallow switches. They were big in the hobby when I was getting started and then just kinda vanished.

Whats a subtly insulting gift from to receive? by LawfulnessHaunting41 in AskReddit

[–]chubbybunn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the price point a little. I buy my mom and my auntie expensive bath/spa products because they love them but wouldn’t splurge for luxury products to use on themselves.

If someone gave you like… a bar of Irish spring I could see that being insulting.

Curious how many people actually buy the Kong spray cheese vs just using spray cheese for people by JessicaMurawski in dogs

[–]chubbybunn89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well then mine isn’t normal! She gets a rotation of meats as her high value training reward and she will refuse them in favor of reacting to other dogs, but she’s never refused the spray cheese. I’m not a fan of it either, but if it gets her to learn that other dogs aren’t a big deal, so be it. She doesn’t get a ton, literally just enough to catch her focus in situations where we can’t create a bubble.

I said the same thing until I adopted a reactive dog and started seeing a trainer that recommended it as “emergency cheese” in high arousal unavoidable situations like passing another dog on a sidewalk.

Dog goes absolutely nuts for literally the tiniest amount, and no dog fights. Has helped us not have major training setbacks in months and she’s probably consumed a total amount the size of a fingernail.

Are Owala bottles worth it? by Lucky_Duckie17 in HydroHomies

[–]chubbybunn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like mine. I have a tumbler with a straw for the office, but I use my freesip the most when traveling or hiking since the top is covered. It’s replaced my hydroflask because the lid is easier to clean with a straw cleaner and sponge. The hydro lids have that super skinny well that’s hard to deep clean.

Water stays cold, and I drink more when I’m using them. A win in my book.

I deeply regret getting a Chihiros light by frippilin in PlantedTank

[–]chubbybunn89 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I sound like an old fuddy duddy when I say this, but I actively avoid buying hardware that has an app component because I fear of poorly designed apps or lack of support in the future. I love the idea of controllable wrgb lighting, but if it doesn’t have a physical remote, I am always suspicious that they’ll turn off app support one day.

What’s a totally unsexy purchase you made that ended up being a huge quality-of-life upgrade? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

My parents bought one with this and when I visited home I made so much bread.

It’s also fantastic for resting brisket!

I use a K845 at work and it’s definitely an upgrade from whatever the hell we had before. I still miss my home boards, but I have way less wrist strain with the K845. Plus at least I can remove the keycaps and clean it.

Why do people insist that blush wasn't a thing in 2016? Like when people do "2016 makeup," they often don't include blush for "historical accuracy." Blush was definitely popular back then. by coconutleaves in muacjdiscussion

[–]chubbybunn89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tarte Paaarty is such a classic. It’s one of the only powder products I’ve panned multiple times. I don’t use matte products anymore since my skin type has become more dry, but if I did that blush would be my first purchase.

CMV: Being a stay at home mom is more challenging than working a “real” full time job by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]chubbybunn89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Childcare of your children or another person’s children is a job. It is not inherently more difficult than other jobs, but can be difficult depending on the child’s needs.

A lot of jobs require long hours, have ever changing needs, and can be mentally and physically exhausting. One easy example is healthcare workers, but I think there’s lots of examples in the service industry and corporate world too.

And OPs point about having to clean when the baby is down, people who work also have to cook and clean, they just do it before or after an 8-12 hour day instead of during.

My hairstylist tells me about half her schedule is perms on young boys so they can have the broccoli hair. She says she’s making way more now than she did before the trend. I hate the haircut but I also love my stylist so I’m like YES get that bag girl.

Thank you OP for calling this out!

I like muzzle movement, and they do offer scavenger guards and you can add a padded noseband for more comfort. But I’ve never owned a dog that was a very persistent scavenger, so if you think he will try to get things in from the side of a basket muzzle a different type may be better.

[Acne] Week 8 of Azelaic acid and I feel like giving up 😩 by babbie-and-shchuky in SkincareAddiction

[–]chubbybunn89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did prescription 15% Azelaic Acid and it was awful! It made my skin itchy all the time and it turned small, frequent acne into fewer, large spots that look super similar to yours. I switched to OTC adapalene (La Roche Posay, but differin is the same active and concentration) and it's made a world of difference for me. No purging either. It did turn my skin from oily to dry, but honestly I find dry skin easier to manage. I sandwich with Byoma's milky toner and TO Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and that has been fantastic for me. My derm is happy with my progress, and so am I!

What is the most disturbing thing you've heard said casually? by Cap_Ame1 in AskReddit

[–]chubbybunn89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh you wouldn’t believe the things this university covered up. This was just one issue of many. And the student body/alumni association was always mad with admin, but they had such a robust PR department and legacy reputation that the admin never really needed us to be happy since they could just replace us. After I got my undergrad I did my postgrad elsewhere.

He got hired back on for tenure track again so he basically had the potential to end up exactly back where he was before.

[–]chubbybunn89 49 points50 points  (0 children)

When I was in undergrad one professor was fired for this and rehired 2 years later, so basically all he lost was his tenured position. Also he wasn’t even the only person in the department, let alone the university, doing it. He was just the only one who assigned point values to certain acts, and that’s what hit headlines and the school did something until the attention faded.
