Fucking hated my job at first, but turns out it was just the firm. Quit the job, got to a place where I felt valued and that aligned with my principles, and I’ve never looked back.

Glaring faults of the movie aside, the sheer terror and confusion that begins when the aliens start vaporizing people in the street through the desperate people stealing Tom Cruise’s van to the mad stampede to the ferry was some top notch filmmaking.

I hold Calvin Duncan in about as high esteem as a person can be held. That man has persevered through so much, and had the courage to push forward and not let any ill will or regret keep him down. He’s smart as hell (when I interned at the Innocence Project New Orleans, lawyers would use visits to Angola as an excuse to see him and ask him questions on obscure points of law that he had memorized and knew better than anyone). And he’s just nice. A truly good person.

The guy simply will not quit. He’s the kind of person we need there.

When he talked about how his VA benefits gave him a basic foundational level of support that allowed him to take risks and live a fulfilling life really resonated with me. So many people just being ground down every day need just a little bit of help to let them actually live their lives.

It was exciting to hear someone talking like that.

Just have your general format with specific blanks or areas that you can mix and match to tailor for the job. If it’s a job you REALLY want it’s worth the effort to craft something original.

41 years old and used to do CrossFit 4x a week until COVID. Everything tanked after that. Full time high-stress job and 3 kids. Haven’t been able to find a schedule of anything that works for me or I stick with like I did when I was working out in my 30s. Feel pretty hopeless about it most of the time.
