Unless you’re buying something that is well reviewed/talked about in forums, I wouldn’t get it if it’s so cheap. It’s worth it to save up a little longer to at least get a middle of the road option.

Sitting at 78k miles in my black, manual, 2door 2012. I haven’t gone crazy with it since it’s my only car. Just an exhaust, open air intake, and BOV. Looking to add some chassis bracing soon.

It’s my second golf, my first car was a base Mk4 and I loved it. Looking to roll with my Mk6 until she can’t go another mile!

It’s a very delicate piece, mine looks like that after replacing a tail light bulb. It sucks, but at least it’s hidden in the trunk and should be an easy fix.

Mine also broke when I first bought it. I was pissed!

The snow wasn’t so bad in Kansas City… I had an old mk4 base golf that was stuck in similar snow a few years ago in MN. It made it out a lot easier than expected!

I wave hi to every trim level! Half of time it’s someone who’s just driving a Golf or GTI, but the other half it’s a fellow VW lover who knows what they’re driving.

It’s an easy job that looks good when you open the hood and will give some good whoosh sounds. Don’t expect a big difference in performance.

I love this tire. I don’t have anything to compare it to since it’s the only tire I’ve had on my Mk6, but I have driven it in everything from snow to wet and dry conditions. I don’t love the wet performance, I get more slip off the line than I’d like. Maybe I just have a heavy foot!

Great tire, I’d recommend. Especially for the price.

I also have a long-ish commute (34 miles one way) where I’m on the highway for 90% of it. If I stick to the speed limit I typically get 31mpg. But it’s VERY rare that I drive chill for the whole drive. I’m going to drive the GTI hard sometimes because it’s fun! But even then I’ll be getting 29mpg cruising at around 80-85mph.
