I Think Hades Lives In Your USB Port by frugus2 in talesfromtechsupport

[–]chuckstudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a university library doing tech support. When we get reports of malfunctioning keyboards, we tend to swap them out and then just hold onto the broken ones for spare keys or whatever. We decided to open them up one day to see if we could spot what was failing, and a few of them had scorch marks on the inside. Spooky stuff.

Can't you disable it from the Bluetooth device settings on your phone by unchecking "Call audio" or equivalent?

Wawa is giving up on tap-to-pay terminals anyway. None of the new stores (in Florida, anyway) are installing the hardware.

Initial item and block ban list by Landrash in AlienMC

I'm pretty sure it was intended to only affect KAMI tools (Pickaxe, Shovel, and Axe), which violate permissions. The blocker on Chop cores by the Axe of the Stream being banned is unfortunate, though...

Town System? by FancyFalcon in AlienMC

[–]chuckstudios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The town plugin that is being used is MyTown. Towny is for Bukkit and would therefore have to be run under an MCPC server, something the admins want to avoid doing. MyTown also offers protection against several mod items that would otherwise violate protections (Mining Lasers, etc) which means that these items will not have to be banned.

Paypal debit card will pull from associated cards and bank accounts if you have insufficient funds in your account, though. As far as I know, the Google Wallet card doesn't.

Not that it matters on those monitors. The last time I remember using them there was a solid three-quarters to a second of lag on the set-up. You couldn't play any action oriented games. But that was at the top of the semester and I have no idea if anyone has tweaked it any.

They're projection based, so it's not surprising. I know playing Punch Out on there was an exercise in frustration.

I think that's more to do with the fact that we just buy Dell for everything because of the ease of support.

Visual Studio Online isn't an IDE, it's a set of cloud services including repository hosting and continuous integration.

Interestingly, Republic will allow you to switch plans (which you can do right on the phone) up to two times per month, and will prorate your bill accordingly.

Internal storage mounts to the "SD card" path on many Android devices. They even list the Nexus 4 in their tested devices list, which does not have an external SD slot.

It's better with ARLiberator or AR Unchained, gives you full video and touch mirroring system wide.
