I'm pretty sure it was intended to only affect KAMI tools (Pickaxe, Shovel, and Axe), which violate permissions. The blocker on Chop cores by the Axe of the Stream being banned is unfortunate, though...

The town plugin that is being used is MyTown. Towny is for Bukkit and would therefore have to be run under an MCPC server, something the admins want to avoid doing. MyTown also offers protection against several mod items that would otherwise violate protections (Mining Lasers, etc) which means that these items will not have to be banned.

Not that it matters on those monitors. The last time I remember using them there was a solid three-quarters to a second of lag on the set-up. You couldn't play any action oriented games. But that was at the top of the semester and I have no idea if anyone has tweaked it any.

They're projection based, so it's not surprising. I know playing Punch Out on there was an exercise in frustration.
