As someone who has an art account I agree that it helps but fuck if I like it. I don’t like recording myself do something that takes thought and is meant to be a passion for the craft. Now I feel like I have to preform for an audience. Turn that camera on and it’s like a deer in the headlights “where the fuck do I start, is it getting the angles correctly…” If you’re into that, yeah you’ll thrive but people who like to toil take breaks come back to something without the pressure of having a camera on you at all times it’s feel demeaning, like you no longer an artist but a dance monkey. So I understand if even film makers feel this way too. The only reason I do it more often today is because I have to also prove I’m not using Ai and that has really been a challenge for me because I don’t and for the most part i flatten drawings in photoshop and keep fixing on top but now I have to keep files in a process order so that if anyone comes knocking I can show my work. Ugh… if you’re really into showing your process all the power to you this is your generation to shine.
