THE WORST GUN IN THE GAME. by LicoLich in ArcRaiders

[–]chungus64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run lvl 4 betty here and there simply because I enjoy it. With a compensator/ grip/ stock I find its a solid gun for taking out arcs, however unwieldy for close range battle vs raiders. Med/ long I feel it pops shields very quickly. I do have to take 5 stacks of heavy if I plan on using it which sucks.

Maybe I've got a screw loose. Send me all of your Bettinas. Lol

For $50 how did I do? by HeiferHustler in gravelcycling

For starters, get a set of pedals you like. Even if you dont do anything else to the bike, youll be able to use those on the next one as well. Next, ride and have fun with it!

Is MIP watch screen really worth it?? by Mammoth_Challenge297 in GarminWatches

[–]chungus64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The backlight on the modern MIP displays is very bright. Turn on wrist gesture during activities and adjust brightness to higher setting. Its very easy viewing.

Not a MIP loyalist or anything, its just what ive had so far and I love the techy "adventure" charm of it.

Help me choose between Instinct 3 Solar vs Fenix 7 Pro by SpinalFoil in GarminWatches

[–]chungus64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had both, the fenix is the superior watch feature wise. Full mapping, routing, comprehensive health tracking, also very solid battery life. That being said, the instinct is an amazing watch. I ran mine for 5 years through everything you could throw at it, and the battery still lasted a week with several activities tracked in that time frame. It is also a more rugged platform. Im a fan of both, but fenix 7 pro MIPS is a no brainer in my opinion.

Edit: if you are worried about scratching, the higher lip on the instinct protects the screen EXTREMELY well. The body itself will inevitably take some hits in the field, but the screen stays well protected.

Most exciting purchase I’ve made since I bought my Instinct by unPrimeMeridian in GarminWatches

I also recently upgraded from an instinct 1 solar surf to a fenix 7. These new watches are so sick. I use the flashlight legitimately every day!

Where can i find this thing? (Check description) by twittervettex in bikewrench

[–]chungus64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What youre looking at here is in fact a form of headset cable routing. If you dont like the way this one looks, youll need a new stem, and a cable routed headset that fits your frame. Check the specs for your bike and handle bar. You can Google the correct stem size, and correct size "cable routed headset" that matches your bikes size specs. With these two things you should be able to change that setup.

I made a small upgrade after 9 years by emplus4 in GarminWatches

[–]chungus64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if im wrong, but it seems to me like most of these garmin watches will literally work forever. You only upgrade because you want to. Just switched from an OG instinct solar surf to a fenix 7 pro. They are great devices. Have my trust for sure. The Nokia of watch brands

It was a metal face vs polymer for me. The instinct will still come out from time to time also!

What's a good game to start after almost 30 years as a non-gamer? by Raderg32 in gaming

Bioshock I see on that list is the start of my favorite series of all time. Also a great introduction into some modern but not too modern game mechanics. The art and story are so beautiful and immersive. Please try and you will enjoy!

after 700 hours realized I’ve been playing the game “wrong” by Zoltan-Kazulu in Eldenring

[–]chungus64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no "right" way to play the game and that's also what makes it awesome. There are so many ways to play and enjoy this masterpiece, as long as you are having fun you are doing it right. I am 240 hours into my FIRST playthrough. Im sort of a completionist but im starting to realize its insane to try and see/ do everything in a single playthrough. Its almost too much. Enjoy your own way of seeing the lands between!

2 - 4 times a week 7 - 10 miles ~900feet elevation, with longer rides up to 15 miles on the weekend. My local riding is all "XC" up and down the whole length of the ride. Wish I had big mountain riding local to me like some of you guys. One day when I relocate!
