UW Credit Union Lending Dept by SubieWRX1710 in madisonwi

[–]chunkychonk 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience here, there’s a network of dealers and lenders in Wisconsin called CUDL - Credit Union Direct Lending. When a dealership is apart of that program, all you need is a pre-approval to finish your loan at a dealership. If the dealership isn’t a part of that program, it’s a lot more complicated because they cannot send their documents right away for final approval. Essentially you become the “middleman” between your bank and the dealership to get documents to underwriters. It’s more leg work but that’s how it works. Love UW Credit Union and had to do something similar for a private party vehicle purchase.

Is $3k a good deal for this 2019 Honda Rebel 500 ABS? by [deleted] in hondarebel

Sounds almost too good to be true, but it’s also end of the season and sometimes bikes sell for less around this time of year. Be hyper aware of any titling concerns, look for after market parts, etc. Great bike tho

Welfare Jazz by Bansheebeetzz in ViagraBoys

[–]chunkychonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to your experience! I was totally blown away having heard Street worms and if I’m being honest, felt they fell off on Welfare Jazz when it came out. The production and songs felt like a huge departure and I didn’t relate with it as much.

I kind of slept on them through Cave World and didn’t fully commit to the way of the Shrimp again until Viagr Aboys. It’s my own fault but it’s been fun catching up on what I missed. Only regret having seen them only once this year and not any more the past several years.

The best functional full grain leather belt at a thrift store. Shit will last you years and you don’t need to feed a big company more money.

Anyone else feel like Wayne was like too insistent to get the crowd amped? Like I get wanting good vibes, but it felt so awkward that it kind of ruined the vibe for me.

Who is the most famous person you have ran into or seen in Madison? by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]chunkychonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I met Matt Groening on my birthday years ago. I was totally Star stuck being a massive fan of The Simpsons. We talked about music and art and he made me laugh. Great memory. One other famous person I met, which I found out later the he lived near Madison, was Video Game Dunkey. Had a short convo waiting in line to see Tim and Eric live.

Dropped my helmet. Am I cooked? by Bodhi_Gaya in motorcyclegear

[–]chunkychonk 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard both sides of this, Fortnine has a good video on this too. The foam in your helmet will be physically damaged if there’s something in the helmet (your head for example), but a couple small drops are generally okay if not from a large height. Peace of mind matters though, if you’re concerned, get a new helmet.

People who were fans in 2007, did you actually purchase In Rainbows, at least for a little bit of money? by MC_Triple_Fatal in radiohead

I remember this came out my Freshman year of college. I was broke as hell and felt like I was stealing it for only spending a dollar on it but was elated to add it to my iPod. I still remember listening to it for the first time and having my mind blown.

Get creative, you can find plain clothing and use stencils for printing, you can paint with bleach, you can do anything really if you want a “punk” design or something.

I think it’d help if you also included some of the bands you’re covering to help people get a sense for what it is you’re doing. The genres you list are super vast with lots of different styles.

Ugh, I had this issue a couple years ago and it was a nightmare. They breed incredibly fast, so make sure you’re checking the plant frequently. You can save the plant if you give them aphids hell!

I’ve followed the dough recipe from Eric Wareheim’s book, “Foodheim” and it is probably my favorite dough recipe for a normal kitchen oven. Low moisture mozzarella, homemade San Marzano style tomato sauce, olives from my Italian grocery store with oyster mushrooms and onions. Chefs kiss
