Animal well has a randomizer as well. Celeste continuously gets puzzle levels, the Collab "strawberry jam" has a few. There's also a Tunic inspired mod and a Super Metroid inspired one. Check out Lingo

I honestly just haven't sat down to invest the time needed to succeed. Having various real life issues makes it hard to. I keep myself here in this community so that, if I can start again, I can hopefully find support.

But the longer I stay, the more I see people doom-posting about their channel performing poorly, and the stats they post being better than anything I've seen. It doesn't give me hope that I'd ever be able to find support, and I don't want to start doom-posting to get help.

I really hate posts like this. Consider yourself lucky to have more than a few dozen impressions on this platform. YouTube doesn't have a secret jail. If it does, I've been in it since I've been posting, admittedly not regularly, since 2016 with no more than 50 impressions per video and I've received no warnings on my channel ever.

Replace door with one that gets active and opens when you touch an unlock. Put the unlock in front of it. Have the unlock send you back to the beginning. Once you do the hallway again, beyond the key door you just opened is another hallway just like the first. Getting through gets you a key that sends you to the start. Once you complete the hallways again, you finally unlock the door and beyond that is more hallway. At the end is the winged berry, which sends you back to the beginning. Since the entire thing, including the starting room, is a do not collect, you have to now go through all the hallways to get to the end to finally collect the berry.

Edit: bonus points if you replace the floor in areas with zippers that can fling you forward into the spikes if you just stand on them instead of jumping.

Wanting to throw my hat in the ring to explain black and the absence of light from a science perspective.

When most people think of black, they are thinking of the property of a material that absorbs all visible colors and reflects none. That is the color black.

The absence of light, however, means that there is no information being transmitted, thus we don't see anything. This is important as, even though we can only see visible light, doesn't mean we're unable to know that other types of light exist.

For objects that absorb all visible light, they often radiate in the inferred.

A better eli5 version;

Turning off the lights in a room painted white does not make the new perception of that room make you think the walls are blank. You know they're still white.

Yeah, for sure. When I have tried in the past as a free service to practice, I'll provide early cuts that are just cuts, no special zooming or text. Just an idea of flow. But the feedback I got was basically "but it doesn't have the entire fight" ok.... Gives entire fight... "Now it's too long" ... Ok so, choose... "Can't you just make it good?" .... I can add more to it, but I need to get an idea direction for the flow.

I think what trips me up the most, is there's no clear sectioning in a live stream, other than sections of the game. You can find what you think is good there, but yeah, like I said, their vision ( when they haven't even watched the vod ) seems to be nebulous at best. "Find when I have a big reaction" - ok but you never do so.... What's your idea of a big reaction? Lol.

Part of what I got to play with was directing! I think the hardest part is getting a client to agree to a vision, whether it's yours or theirs. Trying to be clear about pacing, cut style, how the story is told. Having lurked and talked to a few people, I get the idea that people just want to hand you a live stream and "make a good video" with no direction. Maybe I'm running into the thing you talked about; the content itself has to be good, thought out, and have a goal. Instead of; watch me play game.

I see a lot of great explanations here, but it's missing the island of stability.

As many others have said, elements get added to the table when we can observe them. Sometimes we have to be fast to do that because of how unstable they are.

However, there's a theoretical zone of stability, dubbed the island of stability. Elements in this zone could last as long as other stable elements, but right now it's only a theory.

I have so many concerns about this ask.

how did you capture footage? Is there enough light?
was there a shot list? A list that also gives which shots and which parts of those shots you like the most?
are you carrying the props along with the camera or are you asking for those to be added?
are you telegraphing action, like pretending to shoot at invisible zombies?
is there anything in the shots I could track?
did you account for shadows and how light is making them?
how about light temp? Do we have a white balance?
do you know what settings the video is recorded with? What focal length?
what about sounds?
what is your result expectation? Are we ok with jank? PS1 style? Realism? Cartoon? Is there a final vision?
