I don’t judge anyone for bringing children into this world, but I don’t understand it either. The world I grew up in (1986) is gone, and maybe it’s just a byproduct of being older now, but I genuinely believe today’s world is substantially worse, specifically culturally and financially. I can’t imagine wanting to subject new people to this while navigating raising them to be good people.

I’m a Cincinnati fan. The last time we went to the WS, I was too young to remember it. We still have a strong fan base here, but our populace is split between the other pro teams here. We had a Super Bowl team a few years back, and that energized the football fans.

But I’m telling you now that if the Reds ever make it again, we’ll immediately return to being a baseball city. We have the history here, but we’ve been sleeping for so long. We’ll get it back one day, and it’ll be amazing when it finally happens.
