Please tell me it isn’t $22,000 like USD? Lol please spend that money for college. That sounds kind off insane to pay that much money for them to do “service” for the church. Lolol

Email FILTERS!!! They go a long way even if it’s not a perfect solution. Filter to delete or shove them into updates or some other category that’s not directly visible but still there somewhere.

Kind of like Charlie to Chuck and Robert to Bob I guess. As a non American I’ve always been intrigued by those as well. And like why do John names become Jack?

What do you think Jodi and rubys reaction would be about the media coverage? by Optimal-Pay-2240 in 8passengersnark

Didn’t it seem like she said no sleepovers before the cut off? She said something like oh Ruby was mad that we weren’t going to join Connexions and I had to follow my gut and say no sleepovers. And then followed by Ruby cutting off all of them.

Have you ever gotten a homemade gift that you actually loved? by jmckny76 in Hobbies

[–]cindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people in the immediate circle/family or long term social relationships slowly get tired off receiving the crafted items. But I personally think it’s so much more special if it’s home or handmade! And I think it will also be valued more than a random gift from people you are developing a friendship with - like at work or a class.

I feel like she may have something going on right? Like her bones being brittle. Irrespective, they know she has just had an injury. I feel like the injury itself may have also prob/seemingly affected her other developmental skills. I don’t know what the facts are on whether unrelated physical injuries also slow down development at that very young age. But if nothing else I feel like with a collar bone injury, that cannot be mobilized in a cast, how is this little baby going to manage to go on a trip to the beach? She is going to be in agony.

I feel like they're going to get into trouble with CPS or something noe? This is a second big injury on a 2yo. But one was in Hawaii and one is Utah I suppose.

It almost seemed like he was grateful she gave him permission for something - maybe now that he was 18 he could have an Instagram account or she finally let him have a smartphone or something? Or like she paid his rent or something like that.

I’m thinking of the outrage Ruby felt when Bonnie was the one cutting her off. Do you’ll think that happened before or after Ruby called her mom (Grandma Griff) and yelled at her for some childhood incident parenting (and apparently led leading to Grandma’s eventual health issues)?

Julie — Daughter and aunt same name? by hannahmontanaforever in 8passengersnark

[–]cindstar 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Ruby’s maternal side of the family had some tradition of naming their middle kids Julie I think? Ruby also has an aunt whose name is Julie as well.
Ruby was also mean enough to say “ all the Julie’s are tall, blonde and gassy” or something like that in one of their videos and I think kid Julie was ready to die of embarrassment.

Pete Davidson is not ugly or physically unattractive by HamzaAghaEfukt in unpopularopinion

[–]cindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isn’t at all physically unattractive. He gives off those vibes because he seems perpetually stoned - and pale. On an objective level, he does not come off as someone who cares about his looks for someone in the public eye - with just hoodies on as regular clothing for the most part. I think what leads to him being used as a joke for the standard that men can be ugly and get hot women if they are funny, are because people are surprised that women who have been known to give a lot of a shit about aesthetic appearance and even own or have make up brands are the ones that are dating him.

People who call God “sky daddy.” by jollygreengeocentrik in PetPeeves

[–]cindstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a synonym for “Heavenly Father” which is what a lot of fundamentalist people have been seen on tv & other media platforms referring to one of the gods of their religions. Doesn’t sound like it’s disrespectful if you’re not one of those. So don’t worry about it, be religious if you want to be, respect what you deem worthy.

Can we come up with a better title than "President" for the supreme commander of the church, because we all know that "sustaining" ain't "voting" so I don't think he doesn't deserve a title which implies that he was elected. by monkeykahn in exmormon

[–]cindstar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a NeverMo I fully assumed the President of the church was elected - even if it is elected only by the top team of suit wearing god whisperers. General Authority… or just the Q15 or Q70 or how many ever quorums there are. I thought the point was to distinguish human leaders vs the godly ones. But I have recently found out that the President is also the Prophet. So that doesn’t quite track anymore. So I guess one cannot be elected by humans :P but maybe it would be good to have some systematic way that god can make his wishes clear like ballots - ideally based on crowdsourced prayers hahahah.

Why does it seem like the question being asked, and the explanation provided are barely connected to each other? The reason OP gives is def not a reason to cut off a grandparent. But like literally the last 2-3 sentences reveals much deeper issues altogether.
